It's only a small sample, but Fernando Nieve might have the same impact for the Mets that Brad Lidge had for the Phillies last year. Remember, no one made a big deal for Lidge when the Phillies traded Michael Bourn for him. Although the Mets didn't trade for Nieve, he might have that same kind of impact.

Nieve: Omar ain't no dummy!
I agree he forgot a few things
Yankeebeisbol=Curse of Choke-Roid alive and well. Much better don't you think pal?

Yeah doesn't have the pizzaz and the rave reviews your boring one gets... 2 spam, 2 nuts, 2 clueless and counting..
Yeah Jim and the Yanks had a nice bounce back win as well.
Nieve is The Natural
drafted at 16 when he was only 170 pounds ten years and 50 pounds later he pounds the strike zone |
The run the Mets tacked on in the eigth was huge. This is something they have not done enough this season.

Does anyone notice whenever the Mets win the girlie-boy pooped stained underwear Mets Choke never shows up.

If he continues to pitch this way, Nieve will get more than one start. If he can throw strikes with his breaking pitches, his stuff is as good as any starting pitcher on the met staff besides Johan.

...another excellent post by the master. I am in awe of your genius.

Good chance of a rainout today, whatever happened to Sunday double headers?
