Merely a purchased group of the best athletes money can buy. Not a big deal. Not a surprising win. Not impressive. Most MLB teams could not afford to buy a single Yankee player. The rest of us non Yankee fans are not impressed and are surprised there are not more Yankee World Series wins.

Most MLB teams could not afford to buy a single Yankee player. That is bunk. That is hyperbole. Most owners are unwilling to put more money into their teams. You're jealous.

The Yankees still had to have chemistry, avoid injuries and be hot at the right time.....those things did not happen in the last 9 years.

The Yankees may have huge payroll, but they are and earned the title of CHAMPIONS!!!!

Any billionaire can buy and create a Yankee like team if they wanted to. Just takes a nut like Steinbrenner to do it. Little surprised they only have 27 World Series wins with the dream teams they have bought over the years.
