Major League Baseball, New York Yankees' Payroll Tainting The Game

There are 2 comments on the Bleacher Report story from Nov 15, 2009, titled Major League Baseball, New York Yankees' Payroll Tainting The Game. In it, Bleacher Report reports that:

There was the strike in 1994, which, I suppose, was the only way to actually force people to stop watching baseball, as there was none to be played.A In 1998, baseball was back with it's two knights in shining armora 'Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosaa 'and their unforgettable run towards history.A Whoops.

Who is this Dork?! Who can't even give a name?! Its not 'fair' that he does not identify himself except with junk parts. Now over 50% of the NYY are homegrown. Very few other teams have that. MYY are not judged to have the best farm system. There are many players who never reach the majors. Now part of the MYY money is distributed to small teams who sell out home games when the NYY visit. If you want international appeal the NYY give it to baseball. Steriods were legal how about taking away medals from russians, east germans, cheniese? And as for the Cleveland example well if you want your money to go down a hole great, management there took a storied franchise the Browns and ruined it, gave James all the help he needed in Shaq???old and injured, baseball what a stadium wow??? This guy should go crying to mama and suck and get at least a little brains.'Fair' has he heard about life it is NOT Fair there is no such word or definition, or else this guy would not be able to write a thing under an assumed no brain machine parts name!

Nobody cried when the Red Sox became the first $100 million baseball team to win the Series! Everyone moans and groans about the NY Yankee payroll, but is their another team out there with the worldwide platform that they have? The NY Yankees are the face of baseball for the world, not just the USA. Growing up children all over the world want to be NY Yankees, unless you grow up in Boston of course. Money does not equal success; it has been proven time and time again. A team does need chemistry regardless of what people think. That is how teams like the Tampa Bay Rays stay competitive. They have good talent, a few stars, but play well together. The proof of that should be the Olympics. We had the super teams in baseball and basketball and the teams have not been successful just because the team is full of stars.

Another thing was steroids were not a banned substance till 2002. Allegations Allegations all you want At most A-Rod used steroids against MLB policy for only 2 years and while McGuire's actions might have been shameful by vehemently denying, denying, denying-he did nothing wrong in accordance to MLB policy. Sosa's corking incident was actually against MLB Policy. I also may stand to be corrected but Barry has yet to fail a steroid test, correct? The list was a bunch of bs as well and the players union should be suing the company that kept the list into bankruptcy. The roids testing was voluntary and was supposed to be destroyed. No action was to come of the list. To this day there is still no proof of a list or if it is just someone leaking alleged names to the media. I am not iggnorant, I know that players used roids and I am sure a large portion did, are, or have used steroids. You think it only goes for baseball. Do you think the NFL, NBA, and the NHL are swimming in roids? Selig is a moron and has been horrible for MLB. He, the owners, and managers looked away for a the better part of 20 years, then Canseco puts out a book, the government (which should be dealing with bigger issues like homelessness, poverty, war, disabled veterans, education budgets, a insane prison system just to name a few things) intervenes and Selig points the finger at everyone else. Absurd!
