Ho hum...Rodriguez hits number 600. The sad thing about this, is the fact that he probably won't be a first ballot Hall of Famer by the time he retires and is eligible. With the steroid admission being the big shadow over his career, he may not even be a second ballot hall of famer! If Mark McGwire hasn't made it in, neither should Barry Bonds, A-Rod, Sosa, Gary Sheffield, or any of the other "juiced" players during this dark era in baseball. Its sad to see the legends of the past being passed up by the cheaters of today. I was a huge A-Rod fan, I remember when he first came into the league and have more than 200 A-Rod baseball cards, but when I found out about his steroid use, I was truly shocked and saddened. The player that we need to look at now to be the clean-up man of the game is Ryan Howard and Albert Pujols. Maybe these two guys haven't taken the juice and hopefully the commissioner can put an Asterisk next to the names of the big 4,5,6, or 7+ that have allegedly been on it. Kinda like what they did to Roger Maris, and for no good reason at that!

He hit a lot off Clemens, Pettit, Gagne, and all the other Steriod using pitchers of his era. I'm not a fan but he's first ballot.

As much as I hate the Yankees, I have to agree.

If anyone asks me, Hank Aaron holds the career home run record. I am an avid baseball fan. I have never seen Bonds record breaking home run and never want to. I was pulling for A-Rod at one time. Not that I liked him but at least the record holder would be clean. Now??? Aaron is the man. Can you imagine if Griffey would've stayed healthy? Oh well. I won't acknowledge Bonds and I won't acknowledge Rodriguez.

He won't be first ballot. Too many writers will never vote for him.

In addition to the steroids possibility, the ballparks have much smaller dimensions (easier to hit HRs) and they play more games than Ruth, Aaron and Mays did per season.

Its understandable that ''Roids'' will make you swing harder.

But

Is it true that ''Roids'' improve your eyesight and make you a mind-reader.

Because you still have to see and hit the ball.It helps a little bit if you know what pitch is coming too.

Go A-Roid! The steroid era continues!

MLB should erase the records of all players caught using performance enhancing drugs and reinstate Hank Aaron as the all-time HR king.

Boost my muscles up with steroids and I could hit hit 600 or more homers in my career.
Personally I think all home run records in the last 10 years should be wiped clean or an asterick next to it saying, decade of the steroid users !

We're not in Rome, we're in California. So why don't you keep your dumb a-s-s- comments to yourself and STFU. You give all New Yorkers a bad name.
