I don't care if A-Rod is suspended or not. But, if MLB has proof of illegal activity, aren't they obligated to turn that proof over to authorities??

Apparently standards have changes since Pete Rose was railroaded. I know; Pete was banned because he lied about gambling. Well, A-Rod lied about steroids which directly affected the game through performance enhancement.

A-Rod is a Little Leaguer, think about it...slapping the ball out of a players hand and then try to act like he didn't do anything...calling for a flyball as he ran bases past the player under it...whining about inside pitches and starting a fight with the catcher over it. Steroids and now gambling (BTW, the league has ALREADY warned him once before)if anyone, I mean ANYONE deserves an asterick next to their name, how can he NOT get one too??? He is what most high profile players are nowadays... narcisstic and spoiled by the owners and sportswriters. These two groups have all but ruined our national pastime!

If A-Bum was playing for say the Indians or Astros; Selig would throw the ban for life at him but since those crooked hatemongering Steinbrenners have Selig in their backpocket 24/7/365, we all know that Mr. Milwaukee Swordswallower got some "NCAA type hush money" to make sure A-Bum got a "slap on the hand". NO WONDER THE STANKEES ARE MORE HATED THAN THE DALLAS COWBOYS, MIAMI HEAT, NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL, DUKE HOOPS AND MANCHESTER UNITED COMBINED!!!!!!

Selig should stick to watching reuns of The Monkees. He has NO authority to do anything. He doesn't even have the authority to call A-Rod, or any other player, into his office for a "talk".
A-Rod should tell old man Selig to go fcuk himself, and just STFU !!!!!!!!!!

LOL ... When old man Selig should have opened his mouth, was when Jim Joyce's blown call cost Armando Galarraga his perfect game.
Selig should have and could have reversed the call.
If Baseball is going to get picky about gambling, rebel rousing etc. et. al ... There never would have been A Babe !!!
AND, thus there never would have been A Yankee Franchise.
Does any Baseball fan really give a fig if A-Rod is a womanizer and plays poker? As long as it doesn't interfere with his performance on the field. Steroid use is another story.
Though, no doubt, A-Rod is a spoiled brat of a diva ...
He's got a helluva an arm from 3rd to 1st.
And not too shabby at the plate either <<< understatement.
