They can't beat the Yankees! Time for a new Mgr. He can't win the big game. If you are just happy with division titles, then keep him, but I am not!

This is another bad article written by the worst srcribe in the history of newspapers. She doesn't have the first clue about baseball and she clearly doesn't like the Twins. Fire Kelsie Smith.

Thoughts on today's game:

Lots of pressure on Liriano--good to see Mauer at DH, but how many of us would have liked to see Ramos stick around for this road trip? Yes, it's true that Ramos needs to play every day, but the Twins could have kept him on board until Hardy returned. Did the Twins really need to bring up Tolbert? Let's hope that the baseball gods feel charitable when Butera steps to the plate.

And, again--Mijares isn't ready. Why are the Twins giving him work in the majors when they have people who are ready and eager to pitch in the minors?
think about it

The"not ready for prime-time players" do it again! I have to agree about gardy leaving. He doesnt know when to pull pitchers or when to leave them in. Walking a .209 hitter to pitch to Arod? Stupid is as Stupid does.

There is no "hindsight is 20/20" angle to this one. Gardy's managing was wrong BEFORE A-Rod even hit the grand slam. Walking Tex to get to A-Rod was bad, compounded by the inexplicable decision to put in a Guerrier given A-Rod's three homers in 6 at bats.

These were bad decisions before they even played out. No amount of rationalizing can change that.

As a life time Twins fan, hind site, back site, call it what ever you want to but this has to be one of Gardy's worst managed games ever. First when he had a chance to bunt runners over early and they popped up,then hit into double plays and then when the game is on the line move to walk a below .200 hitter to get to the Yankees best hitter who by the way has owned Guerrier, is plain assinine. A-Rod has barely put his bat on a ball from Crain. As bad as Crain gets sometimes, he has had no trouble with A-Rod. This would have been the smart move to make period. Now the Twins have to scramble again to win against NY. Too bad nice effort by Baker, Mauer and Morneau.
This is dead on. Why is Crain even on the team if he's not going to be used in one situation where it actually makes sense to use him.

Yeah, one and done in the playoffs. Not worth getting excited over-Gardy is a choker in NY and always has been -time to think about the Vikings
