Who cares if the Petticoats lost. At least they all looked really cool with their facial hair. I hope they spent all day in front of the mirror admiring themselves instead of wasting time practicing.

This is as good as the twins will be gardy is no kelly gardy sucks big time as a manager twins will never go anywhere with gardy as manager. gardy knows nothing about baseball alone from managing players. These twins players arer afraid of the yankees in awl of the yankees Baker is the biggest choker of all time and gardy can keep all his favorate sucky players because he once again showed his brillance tonight Gardy is the main reason this team is guttless, scared little babies with no fight in them at all

What a rambling, totally illiterate piece of nonsense. Another product of the "change nothing" Education Minnesota, no doubt!

what in thee h.e double l was Gardy thinking? Walk a sub .200 hitter for the season to load the bases for the soon to be home run king of baseball? Thank goodness for Gardy that Lebron is around to take the choker of the week award away from him. Terrible. F.

Squat, just admit the Yankees have better players at every position EXCEPT mauer. It's the truth, and it sucks. Hughes, Burnett, Sabathia, Pettit starting combo craps all over us. SS, 2b, 3b, and yes 1b, and CF all are better than the Twins.

Does anyone see that Gardenhire has a HORRENDOUS "choke" reocrd and reputation (playoffs, NYY, LOBs, etc.) record as manager (if that is what some of you call him)? The charade is OVER, I cannot see him repeat and repeat and repeat this above average charade and absolutely NO success beyond the regular season or against highly competent teams like the Yanks. Gardy should be release end of season... SERIOUSLY.

In the "Hindsight Is 20/20" Dept.:

You don't walk the bases full to get to A Rod. You walk A Rod with the bases full to get away with only 1 run and a prayer that you don't give up more.

can we just put the blame where it belongs? gardenhire why in the world would you choose to do what you did.. not the first time he has failed against the big boys.. lets see great against the central division but horrible against the east and the angels.. time to go gardy and get someone who is not afraid of the eastern teams..

oh really .. i dont think hughes sabathis or pettit pitched today or did i miss something... morneau is better than texieria span young cuddyer better than the yanks trio .... bottom line GARDENHIRE SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!!!!!i have been a fan and a player of the game of baseball for over 30 years and that was the most inexcusable move i have ever seen ... BAR NONE..

Kelsie Smith. So do you think there is any way that you could be more depressing. That fact is like a wide open wound for any Twins fan and you just come along and rub salt all over it. Thank you for that Mister Sunshine.
I would like to ask Gardey what was he thinking when he made that decision. Are we now throwing away all those interesting stats and hoping for a better outcome?

Early in spring training I knew this would be the definitive series for the Twins. They can handle the A.L. Central, but if this is the year they go farther, they will have to prove to themselves that they can beat the Yankees on the road. So far they have demonstrated they have the players and pitching to do so, but what of tonight (and I must say the only moment I tuned in to the game was to hear Duensing get the out, IBB Texieria, and then have Guerrier give up the grand slam to A-Rod)? For Gardenhire to set up Guerrier for a situation like this given his history (both Gardy and Guerrier's), this is the epitome of stupidity. Yes, Guerrier will have to prove himself against A-Rod sometime, but not with the bases loaded. I really don't know how Gardenhire can continue to lose so many games in New York. He's a good manager, but given his record against the Yanks, it could someday be grounds for dismissal. I have seen enough of these Yankee comebacks to be completely disgusted with how the Twins CHOKE so often. This need not be the case - the Twins are much better than this - but they will have to prove it over the course of nine innings again and again and again. Let's just hope Gardenhire plays the percentages the next time.

please, Gardy, how can you say the numbers sometimes don't matter when you bring in Duensing to go lefty against lefty. Matty Guerrier is good but stinks against A-Rod; I mean A-Rod is 1-7 against Jesse with zero home runs ... so, if you want to go righty-righty, I hate to say it but use Jesse. The "gut" play over the numbers play doesn't cut it ... it's the reason you didn't play Kubel against Danks, so what's wrong with the numbers here ?

Don't forget the top of the 2nd. Bases loaded, one run walked in, and the PREDICTABLE double play is home to first, then huddy chokes with runners on 2nd and 3rd. This choke set up the next choke.

I would imagine all the "hate" posters from today will come back and talk nice when the Twins win today. Baseball and Twins fans? I think not. Just spoiled people who can manage 20/20 after the fact. What do you suppose people would say if A-Rod's first attempt was a ground ball to third and it turned into a double play? Naw..........you would have written the same thing and moved on to hate something or someone else. LOL

Well Duh! 225 Million dollar payroll speaks for itself. What was your first clue that the Yankees buy their championships? Too Funny~

Baker reminds me of Doc on Major League 3, back to the minors~ Can't get anyone out to save his life when the game is on the line~ Did the same thing in Detroit~

Gardy bringing out Guerrier to pitch to A-Rod is about as idiotic as Lebrandt pitching to Pucket in game 6 of 91. Gardy can not manage and must be fired if the twins want to win anything.

Another pathetic choke job in NY-the Twins are pretenders and cannot play with th big boys. The next two games are automatic losses
