Who cares what they do next? This franchise has ruined baseball, and all the baseball writers can do is fawn over them year after year. There are 30+ other baseball teams out there - report on them and let the Yankees go reconcile their bank accounts. Give the rest of the country a break for heaven's sake and stop reporting on these scum bags!

I applaud them not signing Cano to ten years and that gave them the flexibility to spend. The Yankees should have learned from past years that you need both the pitching and hitting to win it all. The Yankees would be smart to absolutely sign Tanaka as he is the most impressive starting pitcher out there. He will be either a number one or number 2 starter which they need most. There is no pitcher like him in the market and it is their greatest need. Signing a second pitcher like Brett Anderson/ Ubaldo/ Garza would also round out the staff. Any solid relief pitchers out there would be welcome gravy. It would be a mistake to mispend on more offense and leave pitching as it is. It is Ok if you don't have a superstar at every position Yankees, load up on pitching!!
