MacPhail: Loewen appears ready to sign with Blue Jays

Orioles president Andy MacPhail acknowledged today that he anticipates former first-round pick Adam Loewen signing with the Toronto Blue Jays .

this is not that big but it proves how bad this orioles orginization is, they know nothing about wanting to but a winner on the field, i think angelos is doing this on purpose so he can move the orioles out of baltimore. the orioles are not going to make no "BIG" moves this offseason and thats gonna lead to half of the curreny orioles fan base to leave! we have a beautiful ballpark for nothing cuz noone shows up.
the orioles do not know how to finalize deal or anything!
look we let VLAD,PUDGE,BURNETT,MUSSINA, KONERKO, SORIANO,LEE, etc all get away and we cant make it up by drafting cuz the only good first round pick we have had the last 8 years! is weiters!! horrible team and horrible management, we are gonna be going for a 12th straight losing season

A great GM, and a great guy. When he was hired, he came out to the Warehouse's long line for tickets on the first day of sales in 1996. He shook hands with all of us in line.

Freezing cold day in January (IIRC), but the guy was there to greet the paying customers.

Since 1989, he's had (8) 1st place finishes, and (5) 2nd place finishes (with 4 years off). That's just plain amazing.

So nice to have Angelos flush him down the toilet.

Angelos NEVER offered Mussina a new contract. The Yankees had an offer on the table with a deadline.

Why would anyone really miss him? How often do the Rick Ankiels of the world come along? Not often. Loewen is a complete long shot to be productive as a first baseman/hitter.

That said, I wish him luck in Toronto.

HEs not going to sign a major league contract its a minor league deal. ITs a joke after all the orioles have done for him and gave him the chance to restart his career as a hitter instead of sticking him away on the injured list as a pitcher. WAY TO GO ADAM show your true colors and why karma will make sure your elbow shatters again count on it so when you hear that pop in your arm remember the day you choose to betray the people who were loyal to you.
