Great news. I would love to get Landers and Brady signed too.
Brady has been doing an outstanding job this summer for the MD Orioles.

K Law chat
Q: Would you give Matusz a major league deal?
A: Yes. Normally not but he should be in the majors within 18 months anyway.

I've seen Kevin Brady pitch before and he has very good stuff. However in Landers scouting videos his stuff is a disaster. His delivery is inconsistent and his fastball is all over the place. He has a big curveball that almost always hits the dirt. This pick was strictly based on the fact that he has the nesscesary tools and the body to suceed but he cannot put them together and be an effective pitchers. I think if he had a consistent delivery and slowed his fastball a little bit he could become a very good starter.

Wasted two months of development time dwaddling. Could have got a read on whether he could pitch here next year or not.Now he probably won't pitch till the fall or winter leagues.Going to be a long torturous off season anyway with footdragging and penny pinching McPhail calling the shots.Say goodbye to Roberts, target #1 to get rid of.

Melvin Mora is worthless. We have to pay close to 100% of his remaining salary for any team to take him from us. He is potential the ALs worst starting 3B. There should have been some (a lot) of red flags when a guy has his first good season at age 31.

Matusz should move quickly....I'm not sure his upside is as a true #1, but for a pitcher he is at least a safe bet to become a mid-rotation starter with the possibility as a #2.

Here's a good scouting report on Matusz:

Hopefully with some mechanical adjustments he'll develop better velocity on his fastball.

If his upside is as a #2 starter, then they just should have grabbed Justin Smoak.

Worthless? He leads the team in RBI's, batting average with runners in scoring position, and batting average with RISP and two outs. In fact, he is in the top eight in The Amercian League in the latter two categories. If The Orioles had more "worthless" players like that, we'd be in position for the wild-card.

Leaders the Orioles in RBI is nothing to brag about. Nice touch by digging out the BA with RISP. Do some homework though? Despite popular perception, there is no truth to the idea that some hitters hit much better in the clutch. Statisticians have gone back and found out that BA with RISP is completely luck based and no hitter has been able to consistently hit better with RISP.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Capricorn

You're in a very generous and kind frame of mind today, and you'll go out of your way to help others if you think they need it. You might donate some money to a good cause or decide that charity begins at home. If you're buying gifts for some of your loved ones it will be difficult to know when to stop, because you could easily get carried away.
