Yeah, I get the whole superstar athlete as prima donna premise. But let's get real. Where was the outraged media in the '90s when there were a handful of whistleblowers about steroids? They were turning their backs, just like the union and owners. Now, it's all about the players as cheaters? If I'm getting outplayed by a cheater, it's my bread and butter. My first inclination is to blow the whistle, but if no one is listening, I'm going to cheat, too. It's the unfortunate, but harsh, truth. Until the media grows a pair and launches a fullblown "where were you when this all started" campaign against the owners and the union, please leave the players alone.

Manny is nothing but a high priced smart a** and a slob to boot .He thinks every team owes him but the Mets know better . Its his way or no way and he got shown up last night by the umpire and he really should have been thrown out after the first inning when he gave the umpire some lip about a called 3rd strike. I'm sure the umpires are just laying for him to try and show them up and he'll be caned again .

I see Wallace wasn't man enough to take any critical omments on his obnoxious sanctimony and deleted them, inlcuded his own classless response, but the word is out. Manny is far from the villain here.
