We replaced Torii Hunter with Denard Span. Which means we won't be paying our centerfield 18 million dollars a year in 2012 when he's 37.
Investing money in Delmon Young...wow, you mean that whole 1.15 million he made last year?
Hey, Elvis, get off the pills and admit that Delmon is a cancer, and Tori is a class act, and maybe you are(or were) washed up at 37, but Tori's best years have come lately, and I don't see him instantly dropping off anytime soon. And, if you even really watch baseball, you'd know that Delmon is the king of racking up stats in games when the outcome is already decided. Did you even watch the playoffs? Delmon was 1 for 12 with 1 walk, and 5 Ks(stikeouts, in case you didn't know), Tori was 9 for 33 with 7 walks, 5 Ks, 1 HR and 5 RBIs. Your Span argument is pointless too. Span should be our LF(way less errors than Delmon), Tori in CF and Cuddy in RF. Gotta spend money to keep stars(see Yankees), and if you don't understand that, I suggest you apply for a job with the Twins!

Any team that would give Hunter that long of a deal for that much money deserves to not win anything (which is exactly what the Angels are accomplishing).

they made it further than the Twins, and would have crushed the Twins if they would have played in the playoffs. You must be a Hunter hater? Did he not sign your belt buckle? The Twins spend just barely enough money to win, but not enough to be taken seriously or compete for a World Series(again, see Yankees). I hate the Yankees as much as the next guy, but if you want to compete...you have to spend money to keep your stars....you know that, right? Teams that let their stars walk(like Cleveland-Thome, Sabathia, Lee, Manny Ramirez) never stand a chance. I know you can't keep every player, but, you have to keep the real stars to compete.

When do they hand out the rings for making it past the first round? A ceremony opening day?

Daily Horoscope for December 16

Scorpio

If you're concerned about finding the cash for what usually turns out be an expensive month, the New Moon is the time to start on a budget or some other financial strategy. Try talking to an expert during the coming fortnight, or simply decide to cut down on your expenses. Don't spend so much on presents this year.
