Halladay has no trades rights, Ut Oh.
Would Kenny even chance a 3rd pitcher refusing to play for him? |
Yep... When has Kenny ever backed down from anything? |
Yes Jimmy, your dreamboat Kenny is so tough, he would never back down from anything. I can't imagine how a brain like yours has you living in a dump in one the cheapest towns in America. |

Trading Halladay would not be a salary dump by the Jays. They might just as well keep him for the next two years unless the trade significantly improves their team. What components do the White Sox have they might allow them to outcompete the Yankees, Red Sox and Rays? The package would surely involve frontline pitching to plug the hole caused by losing Halladay. That seems like a zero sum game, in terms of talent, and a loser, in terms of salary, for the Sox. The Jays would also want a low-salaried young player of great potential, like Beckham or Ramirez, though they might take Quentin, especially if they succeed in pawning off Vernon Wells on us in a package deal. I agree with The Sevillage Idiot from Tempe (who will in turn disagree with anything anyone else says, just on general principle) that Kenny is liable to do anything, especially if questioned. However, I just don't see Reinsdorf approving the payroll swing to bring in Halladay and Wells in exchange for, let us say, Floyd and Quentin or Floyd and Beckham. And, would that exchange of talent allow us to overtake the Tigers and Twins? I dunno. It would sure rattle a lot of cages.

Tempe is cheap now, Mr. Sperm? Wrong again. |
You sure must love sperm. Tempe is cheap, yes. I know for people like you who aren't able to generate a decent income it must seem expensive, but to most of the country, it's a very cheap place to live. How sad for you. Maybe you've just been in a rut the first 50+ years of your life, don't worry, you're one lottery ticket away from living in shame and a decent home. |
You sure must love sperm to have one of your names as Mr. Sperm. Were ya' a little late in flipping that one over? As always, you're wrong. Tempe is far from cheap, just as your wife is far from thin, Mr. Sperm. |
Ever heard of a paragraph? |
Yeah, I have loads of it, but sorry, none for you. But don't let that keep you home tonight, hop on a bus and go out, you just might get lucky and meet the man of your dreams tonight. |
Sorry Jimmy, you are right, for a grade school girls sports reporter, I'm sure Tempe is far from cheap. I have to remember to adjust my standards when tolerating your ilk. My mistake. I'll really try to be more understanding of your unfortunate plight in future posts,OK Jimmy. |
And to think, I scare the hell out of you. Make sure you disappear again when I come to town in late Aug/early Sept. Mr. Sperm. RO FL. |
Of course I will, who wouldn't be intimidated by an overachiever like you. If you put in the same type of effort into fitness that you do your career, you must be something to behold. Thanks for the warning Jimmy. |
I warned ya' last time. And you hid. |
What do you painters make per hour now? |
Yeah Jimmy, everyone hides from you. You are very scary you know. Just knowing you have the guts to act all tough on the internet is all we need to know, only a real tough guy would even think of doing that. |
I have 8 painters at $35.00 per hour on a two day job. Thanks for asking Jimmy. |

The Sox are probably one of a few teams that have the prospects that the Jays are looking for in exchange for Halladay. Teams interested in Halladay are going to have to ask themseleves if it's worth it and how much longer will he be a top pitcher. Vernon Wells will be a deal breaker for a lot of teams. That includes the Sox who have better options in center starting with Jordan Danks (double-A).
If the Sox are really interested in Halladay they might be better off making some type of three team deal where they send a veteran player, or two, to the third team who in turn send prospects to the Jays. Would Halladay want to pitch in Chicago? The only way to find out is if you ask him. I still say that the Sox are only window shopping. |

CC,you have hit the nail on the head.I don't want any of this trade. The cost will kill the Sox for years. The Comcast guys say the Sox will go right to the top of the contender list with Doc.But who will play when we give up 4 or 5 players?KW can find someone on the cheap and not blow the future for years on a maybe.

After the previous Sox efforts at getting Peavy, Oswalt and others we probably don't know about you'd have to figure that Kenny has Toronto on speed dial regarding a trade for Halladay. No way do you give them Ramirez or Beckham but almost anyone else is possible.
If the Sox pick up Halladay without losing too much from the current roster they definitely become the favorite to win the division and become about the last team you want to see in a short playoff series. The question is will Halladay approve a deal to the White Sox?? |
