Kids find a pen pal in soldier

The children know that the soldier is from California, likes to surf, has a dog named Rufus, and sometimes sleeps in a tank.

So, I understand that little 3rd graders are being pen pals with a soldier, but why with just one? Good grief, don't you think there is other soldiers that would like to get a letter too now and then. Also, a group of friends of mine would like to write different soldiers and let them know that they have our support. Since 3rd graders are writing a soldier - why can't 8th graders write a soldier too? Tell me how to get conected.

both my boys just got out of iraq & afghan within the past 2 months...i had my own support for the troops and sent letters from kids at school, senior citizens etc...however, they still have fellow military buddies there & i will post a couple of units to send goodies etc...to them....you can also go to military websites and they have groups there that you can use...on long island, there is jacob's light...his mom started it after he was killed in iraq....jacob fletcher was his name...i think it's in babylon area or brentwood where they pack the goodies...and don't forget their are women too...they love body sprays, lip gloss and other girly things...good luck and thank you for supporting our brave military

To all of you that want to write a soldier, go to anysoldier.com and you can choose someone to write with, honestly you might want to choose a whole bunch of names that way you are more likely to get someone that would be interested in having a pen pal.
