Can anyone tell me anything about Mano Schwartz store from Baltimore? I have a beautiful fur coat that a friend asked me to sell for her. It was here grandmother's. It appears to be real fur although I do not know what type or what decade it is from. By the style of the buttons I would say it is the 1940s or early 50's.

The store went out of business, or should I say, was bought out (or merged with) Octavia Furs, in Pikesville, Maryland, approximately 10 years or so ago. I think the son, David, was the owner at the time.

By chance would you have the physical address and phone number? I tried looking them up in yellow pages and google but nothing yet shows up. Maybe they are using another name or I had the wrong town zip?

Thank you Richard... I was spelling your name Schwartz rather than Scwartz. I appreciate your input and have sent an email to the store for assistance.

There still in a Mano Schwartz in Baltimore. They used to be located at Cross Keys Village shopping plaza on Falls Road between
Cold Spring Lane and Northern Parkway. About three years ago they did a beautiful job of shortening a shearling coat for me. But they moved about a year ago and I'm looking for them because I need to get that same coat cleaned. I'll get back if I can get a phone and address on them.

I take my fur to be cleaned by Mano Schwartz every year and they do a fabalous job. As soon as I get some more money I will purchase another fur from him. Had I known about him before I brought my fur, I would have gone to him. He has very pleasant people working for him and I love going to the store. When it's time for my fur to go into storage, I take the ride on a beautiful day, just because. They are some wonderful people to deal with. I recommend that if you going to buy a fur or store it go to Mano. Have a bless day.
