Once again a tractor-trailer truck is involved in an accident, and it closes a major highway. Trucks should not be allowed on any roads during rush hour (7-9AM and 4-6PM). This would eliminate congestion and stop these crashes and injuries.

We don't know if the Trailer caused the accident yet. It's possible that an idiot car or SUV driver cut off the truck and made it swerve. Ban all of the trucks you want. Unless you get all moronic-drivers off the roads (and anyone else who thinks they own the road) then we're never going to stop the accidents.

I drive a school bus and you wouldnt believe what the moran drivers do to us with a bus full of kids. i had to pull on the air break's on the bus to get it to stop quickly so i wouldnt hit the person that cut me off and then stopped in the middle of the road. yea heart attack city

My brother was killed when a school bus cut him off and he swerved into the path of a tractor trailer to avoid hitting the bus. Died on impact. There is no single population of driver that doesn't mess up.

I moved to Maryland 7 years ago and have never seen so many inconsiderate drivers in one place. From not stopping for a person in a crosswalk to not letting someone merge onto a highway (even if there are no other cars around). This is truly a "me" state.

you are very right about no perfect driver. and im sorry to hear about your brother, Im just stateing what i see everyday. i do my part of being a careful driver, especially when i have kids on the bus. but what i do see most is cars and suv cutting off tractor trailers and mta buses and school buses and such.

I was stopped on school property with my hazard lights on, letting the kids go from the school over to the feild to play and a car came around me and came with in inches of hitting all the kids. He just wasnt paying any attition to what was going on around him.

Sure, take the big trucks off the road during those times! You would probably be the first one complaining that a certain item isn't in the store then too because a truck driver couldn't deliver it because of your ,,,, I'll just say "silly" idea. Yes, I understand congested traffic, I've lived and driven in Detroit, San Fransisco, Washington DC, and Baltimore traffic a lot. Try using defensive driving skills. It's not the trucks,,,,

Regardless of who caused the accident, all driver's are not perfect no matter what they are driving or when they are on the roads. When I am driving on I-95,it is never a trucker that makes my drive unsafe,it is always a car,suv or pick up truck.

Know the facts before you speak: the accident happened at 3 am and closed the roadway until 8 am - it happened during off peak hours the best time for truckers to 'catch up' on miles and time. the speed on these truckers is the issue and should be enforced more but it is not

You can't expect tractor trailer trucks to drive when you think it is convienent. They have deadlines to make just like the rest of us, plus they have to take there manditory 10 hour breaks. They are trying to support there families just like everyone else. We all have to be somewhere, and we are all in a hurry to get there.

While you drive on road, you really need to be very careful in order to avoid accidents. Accident can be caused because of anyone's negligence. So, you always need to keep your safe side. In case if you met an accident you should definitely consult a personal injury lawyer.

Well I driver a tanker also, today during rush hour a woman in a car came from far left lane passing lane cut in front of me I was in middle lane cut in front of cars to my right which is far right lane just barely missing everyone to get off the exit at last minute , well truckers see all kind of bad drivers on cell phones NOT handsfree , putting on makeup, on laptop computers, eating, the last minute to exit ramps and merging is ridiculous , these people would needs clean underware after riding with truckers for a day , let them experience what we do for a change they would have different opinion about trucks , well maybe not they are in their world...
