The Obama Phone Lady Wakes Up

During an unprecedented interview, Alex talked to one of the most visible supporters of Obama during the 2012 presidential campaign, the Obama phone lady. The Obama phone lady, Michelle Dowery, who in her video notoriously says "all minorities in Cleveland gets an Obama phone!" came to represent America's increasing dependancy on government. Well, after only one hour talking about politics and life with Alex Jones - The Obama phone lady had serious change in heart.

Why 104 Kansas Republicans just endorsed a Democrat for governor
On Tuesday, a group of 104 Kansas Republicans announced that they would endorse Democrat Paul Davis for governor, rather than incumbent Republican Sam Brownback.
The group, Republicans for Kansas Values, released a list of 10 reasons they were endorsing Davis, most of which focused on Brownback's tax and budget policies. "Brownback's reckless tax 'experiment' resulted in (1) deficit spending,(2) increased debt, and (3) reduced credit rating," the release reads. The group is mainly made up of former elected officials. It contains two former lieutenant governors, the current state insurance commissioner, and many former members of the state legislature.
The unusual mass endorsement comes after years of acrimony between Brownback and his state's moderate Republican faction, which resisted the governor's enormous tax cuts. In early 2012, Brownback moved against several moderate state senators, supporting primary challenges against them. Outside money from groups like Americans for Prosperity poured in.
8 moderate Republican senators ended up losing their seats to conservatives. Now, 7 of them have endorsed Paul Davis. "There’s a lot of anger toward the governor, who has played real hardball politics," University of Kansas professor Burdett Loomis said in a recent interview.
It's only the latest bad news for Brownback, who has trailed Davis in several recent polls. Since Kansas passed Brownback's massive tax cut, revenues have plummeted, and the state's bond rating has been downgraded.

WESLACO - A center for unaccompanied minors set to open in Weslaco later this year will be the first of its kind in the nation, officials with a network of non-profits said.
BCFS Health and Human Services secured a multi-million federal contract to house young illegal immigrants at the site of the current Palm Aire Hotel and Suites on FM 1015.
Representatives with BCFS said the Palm Aire will undergo a multi-million dollar transformation.
The agency applied for a conditional-use permit with the city of Weslaco. City Manager Leo Olivares said the request has to go through the regular planning and zoning process. If approved, it will go to the city commission for a final vote.
The fact that Baptist Child & Family Services is even putting in a bid on this property would indicate that it is not a flourishing luxury resort, but a defunct, rundown motel in an undesirable location. It is doubtful that many of the luxury amenities that the Palm Aire may have once included are still kept up. As the final paragraph explains, the request still has to be approved and voted on.

I just think that millions of others in South America are watching this closely and if we let them stay; then it will never end. Word will go out to just show up in big numbers. While I feel sorry for those kids; they are being used by their parents and it's a shame. These are not war time refugees, they are economic refugees. Florida will be next with boatloads of Haitians and Cubans.
It's crazy__look at Brazil__the wealthier Brazilian's are welcome in Florida or at least their $$$ are and of course the young ladies who don't wear much clothing. But not those broke azz native culture mofo's they got down there__no no no you keep them folks right there at home.

Same goes for most of the Central and South American nations where there is a huge class division.

Less Roman Catholics may vote Republicans?

Pope Francis confronted the "racist and xenophobic attitudes" that often face undocumented immigrants by addressing the thousands of unaccompanied children included in their ranks.

In a message delivered to the Mexico-Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development on Monday, the pope drew attention to these migrant children who he said often undertake the dangerous border crossing alone in order to escape violence in their home countries:

President Bush invaded Iraq then signed off with no troops left behind,
President George W. Bush who, on Dec. 14, 2008, signed with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) calling, in Article 24.1, for the withdrawal of all U.S. forces—not just combat forces—from Iraq by Dec. 31, 2011.
Guess you may need to add this to your cherry picking of history and the news.
Peace
Large bipartisan majorities in Congress voted for the war.

The 2007 “surge”(which Senator Obama and most Democrats opposed) created a stabilized Iraq when Obama took office.

VP Biden (another “surge” opponent) proudly proclaimed in 2010 that Iraq was “one of the great achievements of this administration.”

In 2011, President Obama praised America’s “extraordinary achievement” in helping create “a sovereign, stable, and self-reliant Iraq.”

Maliki wanted to keep U.S. troop presence after 2011 and offered to quietly sign a SOFA extension including legal immunities for American forces.

Obama promised to end the Iraq war” in 2008 and an extension of residual troops would create a political problem for him.

He began insisting any agreement with Maliki be approved by the fractious Iraqi parliament which was a virtually impossible demand.

Political aides in the White House were worried about Obama’s 2012 re-election bid and pushed back against Pentagon requesting roughly 15,000 residual troops. Obama agreed to only 3500 but then walked away from the negotiations.

In September 2012 on the campaign trail, Obama announced,“Four years ago, I promised to end the war in Iraq. We did.”

However, in 2008, Obama promised he would be “as careful getting out of Iraq as we were careless getting in.”

Iraq is now in flames and the entire Mideast at risk.

It's no longer Bush's fault. Never was.
