PDupont, if you have any doubts about the legitimacy of the liberal news media, watch a press conference when a conservative is in power and compare it to press conferences with this president - on the rare occasion he graces them with one, I mean.
Until just recently, there was more giggling and obedient admiration than hard questions. Even when they had to try and act like real journalists in the midst of one abuse of power after another, they soon forgot the hard questions and went back to the business of ignoring those abuses of power, protecting those abusing the power and swept it under the rug telling us "there's nothing to see here."
Under the same circumstances if Obama were a conservative, they'd be calling for blood. If Nixon had been a liberal, Watergate and Nixon's resignation would have never happened.
It's pretty obvious if you choose to see it.

Eric Nordstrom, the former chief security officer for U.S. diplomats in Libya, concluded from conversations with his superiors at the State Department that "we were not going to get resources until the aftermath of an incident."
Nordstrom said he sent two cables to State Department headquarters in March and July requesting additional diplomatic security agents for Benghazi, but he received no responses. He said the number of U.S. security personnel in Benghazi were kept artificially low even as the State Department recognized the increasing hazards.
Army Lt. Col. Andrew Wood testified to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, "We were fighting a losing battle for more security officers. We couldn't even keep what we had."
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2...
So you're saying Stevens had the power to protect himself but chose not to even after he repeatedly requested more security?
Probably not a good idea for you to talk about dumb rocks. Just saying.
FACT: Stevens refused the offer of additional security just prior to the attack,TWICE. Why do you continually ignore that FACT?

Without a doubt, the State Department headquarters for Near Eastern Affairs was limited by Congress in the amount of resources spent on this Temporary building in Benghazi but the bottom line is....AFRICOM offered additional resources and Stevens, perhaps relying on the CIA annex for protection, refused. In hindsight, a bad decision.

Useless, non-real world training--is typical of a lib's college training:

...Occidental College (annual tuition,$32,800) topped this year’s list, securing two spots in the “Dirty Dozen.”

Occidental’s first-place entry, which is scheduled for the spring semester, is taught by associate professor Jeffrey Tobin in the department of Women’s Studies/Gender Studies and involves such esoteric concepts as “phallologocentrism.”

Mr. Tobin, who also teaches another class called “Critical Theories of Sexuality,” said Occidental students are so eager to enroll in his anatomically specific class that five extra spots were added during registration to help meet the demand, and there is still a waiting list of more than a half-dozen students.

In addition to Mr. Tobin’s class, Occidental also snagged fifth place for its course entitled “Blackness,” which explores such topics as “new blackness,”“critical blackness” and “post-blackness.”

Among other “winners” in YAF’s 11th annual “Dirty Dozen”:

c “Queer Musicology,” University of California-Los Angeles: Associate professor Mitchell Morris instructs students how “sexual difference and complex gender identities in music and among musicians have incited productive consternation,” examining such composers as Franz Schubert and Cole Porter.

•“Mail-Order Brides: Understanding the Philippines in Southeast Asian Context,” at Johns Hopkins University: It is taught by visiting assistant professor Fenella Cannell, author of “Power and Intimacy in the Christian Philippines.”

•“Taking Marx Seriously:‘Should Marx Be Given Another Chance?’” at Amherst College: Professor Pavel Machala’s class made the “Dirty Dozen” list for the second consecutive year.

•“American Dreams/American Realities,” Duke University: Gerald Wilson, dean of Duke’s Trinity College, taught this spring 2006 course, which examined “such myths as ‘rags to riches,’‘beacon to the world,’ and the ‘frontier,’ in defining the American character.” Required readings included socialist philosopher Michael Harrington’s 1962 book,“The Other America,” and then-New York Gov. Mario Cuomo’s keynote address to the 1984 Democratic National Convention. The course is part of Duke’s Hart Leadership Program, created in 1986 with a grant from the family foundation of business executive Milledge A. Hart III.

The courses on the list are mostly electives, many coming from the women’s studies, black studies and history departments.

The goal of the YAF report is to highlight “troubling instances of leftist activism supplanting traditional scholarship,” Mr. Mattera said, explaining that the organization looks at thousands of courses and hundreds of schools to compile the list.

Here we have a new rising star in the Republican Party in Florida:

Two separate social media accounts for the campaign of a Florida House candidate are calling for the execution of President Barack Obama.

The first post was made via Twitter around 5:30 p.m. Monday. Republican candidate for Florida House District 68 Joshua Black, whose campaign Twitter handle is @JoshuaBlack2014, retweeted a statement that read "I'm past impeachment. It's time to arrest and hang him high." The person operating the account then added the word "Agreed."

Republican candidate for House District 67 Chris Latvala noticed the tweet and added his own opinion to the discussion.

you aren't seriously calling for the killing of Obama are you? I know you are crazy but good heavens.U R an embarrassment," @ChrisLatvala wrote on Twitter, adding in a separate tweet that Black needs to "go take [his] medicine."

The tweet is still visible on Black's Twitter account and no apology has been issued. On the Facebook page for Black's campaign, there is a post defending the comment from Twitter.

"So, don't stop at impeachment. Remove him. Try him before a jury (the very right that he arbitrarily denied to al-Awaki and his 15-year-old son), and, upon his sure convictions, execute him," the post reads. "Thus has he done, thus it should be done to him."

The district Black is running for represents parts of St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park and Feather Sound, according to JoshuaBlack2014.com .

Hillary was not "responsible for providing the requested security". That responsibility was assigned to AFRICOM and they relied on Stevens who told them he did not need additional security.
Hillary "threw up her hands in frustration" because to do otherwise would have been to place the blame on her friend, Chris Stevens, for his failure to accept the additional security which was offered by AFRICOM. Hillary was not in Libya. Stevens was her eye on the ground and she put her faith in him to make informed, knowledgeable decisions. He failed.
What's up UselessSinceForever?

"According to one of the key witnesses expected to testify before the committee this week, even Ambassador Stevens himself had repeatedly requested more security personnel, but was turned down.

Lt. Col. Andy Wood, the former head of a U.S. Special Forces "Site Security Team" in Libya, has told CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson that he and many other senior staff at the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli, "felt we needed more, not less" security personnel in the country, but were told "to do with less. For what reasons, I don't know."

Senate Democrats' campaign arm is hitting former Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) for quickly and repeatedly coming to the defense of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) over the George Washington Bridge scandal.

Brown, who's strongly indicated plans to run for Senate in New Hampshire, has repeatedly appeared on Fox News to defend the governor. After an exhaustive press conference Christie held to address the allegations Brown said the New Jersey governor and potential 2016 presidential candidate had passed "the test."

"By taking to national television to defend scandal plagued Governor Chris Christie, Scott Brown (R-MA) is showing Granite Staters that despite his rhetoric, he’s really just a loyal partisan who always stands up for his campaign contributors," the email from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee obtained by TPM said.

"Brown continues to defend Christie even though the bridge scandal is being investigated by a U.S. Attorney and Christie has lawyered up," the email continued. "A growing chorus of public officials are speaking out against Christie’s record and reputation of bullying, but Scott Brown still claims nothing is wrong."

The email goes on to note that the Boston Globe reported a former aide to Brown now working for Christie was subpoenaed in relation to the bridge scandal.
