Rand Paul is not a wacko. He's fighting to preserve the constitutionality of American's privacy and the president walking all over it thinking he's all three branches of power.<quoted text>
Rand Paul is a wacko. Everyone seems to know that but you.
Rand Paul doesn't believe in the powers of the Supreme Court:
"Just because a couple people on the Supreme Court declare something to be constitutional does not make it so. The whole thing remains unconstitutional. While the court may have erroneously come to the conclusion that the law is allowable, it certainly does nothing to make this mandate or government takeover of our health care right.
Rand Paul doesn't believe in the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness:
"With regard to the idea of whether you have a right to health care, you have to realize what that implies. Its not an abstraction. Im a physician. That means you have a right to come to my house and conscript me. It means you believe in slavery. It means that youre going to enslave not only me, but the janitor at my hospital, the person who cleans my office, the assistants who work in my office, the nurses.
Basically, once you imply a belief in a right to someones services do you have a right to plumbing? Do you have a right to water? Do you have right to food? youre basically saying you believe in slavery.
Im a physician in your community and you say you have a right to health care. You have a right to beat down my door with the police, escort me away and force me to take care of you? Thats ultimately what the right to free health care would be."
Because there were two different conflicting court rulings in individual suits against the NSA - one court ruled that the NSA was within its bounds to spy on Americans after a different court ruled the NSAs actions were unconstitutional - the conflicting decisions must be decided by the Supreme Court.
Do you think it's constitutional for any administration to use the NSA to spy on Americans?
If it were George Bush's administration, you'd be screaming bloody murder and screeching like a barnyard owl.
But it's just okay with you as long as it's the Obama's administration?
