Every man is created equal in God's eyes, but we all know the truth when looking through human eye. You and I are created equal in God's eyes but you think you're better because you make more money. You think you're above struggle, I on the other hand grew up in it. Now the cost of living goes up almost yearly, yet minimum wage in New Jersey is like 7 dollars and 45 cents an hour. nobody can survive on 7 dollars and 45 cents an hour. Peoples have families & there's not enough good paying jobs for everyone & somebody's got to do the dirty work so people accept lower level jobs to provide for their families. Now on the other hand the rich sit on their asses & make record profits while te's next man struggles to put food on the table. Giving the 2 scenarios, you tell me if thats fair. The rich caused this fucked up economic situation in america & the middle class is paying for it & trying to get back all of their 401k blown & sacrificed by the rich, so yea the rick deserves to pay a lil more. Why? Cause they can. You can only take from those that ain't got until they truly ain't got. Good enough answer for ya, you greedy bastard!

Good answer? You gotta be kidding, a BS answer.
To start with I am far from rich, comfortable yes. Busted my ass for 50 years, still work part time. Sent my kids to parochial schools, with our assistance, scholarships and loans they graduated from college. Good colleges, GU and EWSU. One is very successful in real estate, the other died in what should have been the prime of her life In addition I saved some money, I am not dependent on Social Security, I do take advantage of medicare with secondary insurance. My 401k and personal investments did okay, only idiots or those who depended upon losers got wiped out. You are just an envioussonofabitch, it is the rich's fault. You are a sad sack of shit. You always have to find someone or something to blame. The rich, Bush. Keep your hand out, it's the one thing you do well.

If the student had been allowed to mention Allah, it would have been the lead story on FOX for a week.
Finally, you idiot box, every student in every school says the word God every morning when they recite the pledge of allegiance.
You're such an hyperbolic imbecile.
You seem confused.

Your argument is that public schools say God in the pledge of allegience but public schools are not the place for religion and a first grader shouldn't be allowed to say in a poem her grandfathers asked God for peace and strength when in Vietnam because public schools aren't the place for religion even though they say God in the pledge of allegience?

Now you're confusing me.

The fiscal cliff started to affect business decisions this fall. That's why you saw small declines in manufacturing in Friday's jobs report, for example.
It appears to be a worry for consumers now. The University of Michigan's latest consumer sentiment survey shows confidence dropping to a four-month low. That suggests households are concerned about a potentially sharp fall in their after-tax incomes.
The CBO data suggests they might want to be concerned.
The CBO estimates suggest the 20% of households with the lowest incomes might see their taxes rise by $412.
If you're in the middle 20% of income levels -- between $39,791 and $64,484 -- the average increase would be $1,984. If you're in the top 20%--$108,267 or above -- the CBO is estimating an average increase of $14,173.
If you're in the top 1%-- with income above $506,210 -- the average increase might be about $120,500.

Wouldn't cutting government spending and major reforms have been a lot better?
If taxes go up on 98% of Americans, that's on the GOP.

You really are a total idiot.
We have a graduated income tax. We've had it for a long time.
You really need to understand how it works.
I pay no more or no less than anyone else.
We all pay the same.
I'll tell you what, you take all federal spending & divide it by the population & tax that way.
See how that works out you f*cking idiot. Good luck collecting that tax on those making under $50k.
We have a graduated income tax for that reason. If you don't like it, take your whining ass & leave. We wouldn't have to hear your constant bitching about supporting your own country.
"real dumb"
You continue to prove your inability to comprehend. You are one dumbshit. My question was and is, why should anyone be required to pay a higher rate than another. No discussion of current BS laws. Lets make it simple, no deductions, all pay the the same rate. Lets add another caveat, family of 4 income less than $30,000 per year, no Federal Income tax. Above the $30,000 level a flat tax. No punishment for success. As an example at a 15% percent rate, no deductions;
- Earn $30,000 you would pay $1500 per year
- Earn $100,000 you would pay $15,000 per year
- Earn $250,000 you would pay $37,500 per year
- Earn $1,000,000 you would pay $150,000 per year
Whats unfair about that? I know in your mind if some one earns $1,000,000 a year the tax should be $971,500 leaving a net of $28.500, so a one who is successful drops to your level, a loser.
Unlike you I have and do support my country, I served, Army, 2 years active, 7 years reserve. I have paid Federal income tax since 1956. Locally I sort foodstuffs at the local food bank, coached teen basketball for over 30 years and served as athletic director, all gratis, deliver holiday fixings for the less fortunate in my church. My wife delivers Meals on Wheels for shut in seniors, teaches a Sunday School class, and works with homeless teens thru her club.
You on the other hand just poss and moan. You do that well.

Republican Rep. Virginia Foxx sure loves her traditional values.
She believes defense authorizations bills are the perfect place to include some good old fashioned discrimination against gay service members, just like Jesus said.
She has "very little tolerance" for people who need to borrow money to put themselves through college instead of doing it the traditional, non-loan-needing way she did when she went to college 700 years ago, as the Declaration of Independence clearly demands.
And she's an old school feminist, which is why she is an ardent supporter of any and all bills to strip women of their reproductive rights, just like the suffragists did when they marched and starved themselves, demanding to have fewer rights. In fact, as Foxx explained, "[N]obody has ever fought more for the rights of women than I have."

State-level data can be misleading. In some states, the suburban and rural schools have virtually zero turnover during the school year, while certain urban schools have enormous turnover. These schools tend to be characterized by a high percentage of renters, a high percentage of non-English speaking (primarily Hispanic) residents, a high percentage of non-citizens, and a high percentage of unemployed residents. By "high percentage", I mean over 50% in all four categories.

<quoted text>The reason for a progressive tax rate is simple. Currently to raise the same amount as the IRS has coming in it would take everyone paying a tax rate of 23%. So you think someone working for minimum wage wouldn't be hard pressed to pay there bills and buy food and gas and health care plus pay 23% tax? Compare that to people like Mitt that make more than the average income of a working person in one day. You think that someone making billions per year like the Walton Family should pay no more in tax % than the minimum wage workers they have?
