For over a year, it's been an article of faith on the right that Fast and Furious was a carefully constructed scheme directed by the White House to trash the Second Amendment and build support for more gun control laws. It wasn't. Neither the White House nor Eric Holder had any idea what was going on. It was just a local operation that was badly botched. This makes Fast and Furious offically yet another lunatic conservative conspiracy theory that has bitten the dust in the cold light of reality.

All Obama has done is taken money from the most needy, the elderly and disabled and created a massive take over of health care by a bloated ineffective government .. Given the poor and disabled rationed health care. No more knee replacements for you over 70.. Can't justify the investment.. We can take the money paid in and pay to kill babies up to the moment their head is delivered. We will pay for contraception like pregnancy is a disease?? Condoms are $9.00 and pills $ 10:00/ month. If two people between them can't come up w/$9.00 maybe they shouldn't have sex as they have other things to worry about. I like how Romney calls for the simplification of the tax code and the closing of loop holes that allow OBAMAS friends , like GE to avoid taxes. While easing the tax burden on small business job creators.. I like his plan for the preservation of social security and Medicare. Give me my retirement money and let me invest it.. I will always make better decisions w/ my own money then the out of control government. I can't understand how anyone who really cares about the poor find the Governments poor record of getting heap to the ones who need it acceptable.. They couldn't meet the standards we demands of charity.. Talk about trickle down.. So many bureaucrats are between your taxes and the poor it is disgusting.. It is just a. Rerun of the Carter years only worse! Right down to misery at home and chaos around the world. Once again our embassies are attacked, disrespected and our ambassador sodomized , tortured and killed..Obama and his policies are a failure as they are the same tax, spend, gut the military, scare the minorities, elderly and women who follow the lame stream leftist media to their own destruction.. Glenn Reynolds has all the details on the arrest of the film maker who made the movie that Barack Obama says caused riots throughout the Middle East.

I’m going to be charitable here and presume that the man was arrested on other issues that would not have come to light had such much light been pointed in his direction this past week. Note in the picture it is local authors, not federal authors putting him in a police car. That suggests to me there is more going on here.

But, presuming that, if we really are dealing with people who really are rioting because of a badly produced movie that’s been on the internet for a while and they weren’t offended until subtitles were added a week or so ago, are we not now conveying a strong message to them that, in fact, the government can punish blasphemers? And if so, doesn’t that now give them incentive to riot every time someone in the United States pisses them off?

Or maybe it really wasn’t about a movie and the movie is just the scapegoat.

Carol recently discovered the so-called "Daisy ad", watched a video, misinterpreted it and is now on a tear.

The implication of the ad was that Goldwater would initiate nuclear war and was therefore a threat. It is often given at least partial credit for Johnson's landslide victory. It also started changing the way politicians viewed television advertising. So ... here we are today.
