Sorry folks, but killing from a stand is not hunting. If you want to hunt, at least give the game a fair chase - get off your fat arse (out of the truck, off the 4 wheeler, out of the stands) and walk it, without dogs, without a "drive" or whatever other means you lazy "hunters" use to "fill the freezer".

Too bad this chap, and others yet to be determined, fell to his death. But what do you expect from an out of shape person climbing a tree in the middle of the night in freezing temps to do on that little, tiny seat strapped to a tree? Coffee, a sammich, all your other comfort gear...one little, tiny, rickety perch to hold it all...

Let me add one more thing: You want to hunt? Like the word truly means? Then hunt without a scope.

I pray for the family. However the Pilgrims are long gone, hunting for survival is now simply blood sport that suppliments testoterone loss.

Like my neighbor who just hung Bambie upside down from his clothes line and darn proud of his trophy. Why, he broke his own record he did. This time it is Bambie without the fawn spots.(kid you not, that's all he ever shoots). Who the helll raises these neanderthals? My whole family hunts and never brought home a glorified Bambie.

Although someone has died here, odds are that it all could have been prevented by common sense. It's not in my nature to be "sensitive" so don't hate me for being honest. You should be an advocate for "Safety Harness's" for all these stupid fools that drag there out of shape carcass's out in the woods one day a year and have this happen due to stupidity.
