Obama has 'no patience' for Russia's anti-gay stance

Aug 7, 2013 Full story: The Baltimore Sun 112

In a broad-ranging interview on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on Tuesday night, President Barack Obama addressed Russia's recently passed anti-gay laws by saying he has "no patience for countries that try to treat gays or lesbians or transgender persons in ways that intimidate them or are harmful to them."

Obama said so many things patently wrong on the Leno comedy program, that his supporters should try to bury it as a news story. Using a comedy show as a Presidential platform concerning national security points out he has absolutely no regard for even the Americans putting him in office. Attempting a PR rewrite and claiming he is doing everything to protect our foreign diplomats is an insult to our Benghazi dead, whom he refused even rudimentary help.

Putin has no respect for this racist.

America needs to stop spreading it's unethical ideas around the world. Even the gay French have said no to gay marriage. For once the Russians are correct on something. I suppose he will demand that the Russians play gangster rap at the Russian Olympics.what a blow hard.

Americans need to stop spreading their ignorance around the internet, France approved same sex marriages about three months ago dear, try and keep up with reality. If you are of the sad, pathetic notion that the Russians are right, by all means move there, we might even chip in to buy you a bus ticket.

You need to quit thinking about the next homo relationship you will have and try to think about the what will benefit this country.
Obama would not hire you because of your anti-Obama 'tude'; sugar

The only jobs Obama has to offer are government jobs; and that makes the radical extremists screech about too much government spending

That demonstrates the far degree of unfitness as not being with the reality aspects of these new times as what should be doing in the rules and appropriateness when Obama says he has 'no patience' for Russia's anti-gay stance

It is a world of diversities.
It is ridiculous to say to Russia to do whatever related to LGBT in the Sochi Olympics.

NO conference of G-8, G-20 would make sense to deal with issues of gay marriage, abortion, etc., TO SAY that every country must be alike on these issues because the planet is the policy of diversities.

Just US having gay marriage by even shuffling out willing of coalition in Iraq, does not mean it has to say to Russia to do the same.

Each country has its own policy regarding gay marriage and other matters, which might mean such countries' attempt to tell Russia to do so could be a violation.

People have different ideology, value, beliefs, cultures and so on worldwide, that no people have to agree but people can endorse AS WELL AS THEY LIKE IT.

PEOPLE MUST RESPECT THE VALUE OF DIFFERENT POLICIES OF OTHER COUNTRIES, INCLUDING RUSSIA ON HAVING NO GAY MARRIAGE.

REGARDING SOCHI OLYMPICS, no One can use gay stands to get mixed up on calling , as if is to make the whole world wanting other countries' policies to have gay marriage with no eligibility of votes.

HOWEVER, SOCHI OLYMPICS should TREAT ALL PEOPLE AS EQUAL, regardless if they are gay or not, during Olympic competition period. No one is required to tell him/her as being gay. Yet if one is disclosed being gay, he/she would be treated as equal, and won't be subject to fines and penalties, for there is not to be the voicing to Russia that should be doing what about gays, because it is just a sports game competition and none of others' business.

The only arena if they want to do is to take it to G-20, or G-8 meetings, and go from there, which may also or may not be rejected. Still, nobody gets his/her own way in a world of policy of diversities, even they come up with willing of the coalition, or make issues on gay stands in any meeting as that is really too odd.

It has to remind people that it is the focus of sports games competition, while it is definitely not the destination of gay camp or resort.
Stable and rational people must understand this --do not make ridiculous and illogical gambits of useless view to stand in the way of the International Olympic spirits in the Sochi Olympics for all the needs of global public.

Russia has nothing to say about America's record on civil rights "which is pretty bad by the way", but for Russia to hold it's stance on anti gay laws is just as bad. Any oppression from the government via denying her citizens the basic rights of other citizens make them 2nd class citizens. As Jesus stated "wipe the mote out of your own eye, before you try to wipe the mote out of your brother's eye.

Speaking of basic human rights... how do you feel about Barack Obama's policy of murdering families all over the Moslem world (and elsewhere) using unmanned drones?

Is he not an international terrorist?

Your name is Neutral observer, but it seems that your question's choice of words seems a bit biased. You mention murdering families ? What I have noticed about terrorists, is that they bring the war to America, and then when America retaliates, instead of being men, they hide in urban areas among women and children. Since this is the war they choose to fight, then what counter offensive do the victims of terrorism have to their disposal? I'm not saying that I do not agree with the eastern world's cry for freedom, I just can't support their methods.

I had more respect for Muslims when they fought their enemies face to face, such as Salahadin during the crusades, and the likes of the Ottoman Turks. But now their fighting style is cowardice. As a woman, I can't respect a man who is a coward !

They bring the war to America? Really?

The USA is the one constantly at war somewhere in the Moslem world. We are the Saudi monarchy's obedient lap-dogs in the Middle East. We are the ones over there. Bin Laden was ticked off at our support for the Saudis. His Egyptian parter al Zawahiri about what we were doing with the dictatorship in his country. We got involved in Afghanistan due to Carter's and Brzezinski's bone-headed idea to support Islamic jihad to spite the Soviets. A secular Soviet backed government in Kabul = no 9/11.

As for terrorists pretty much anyone occupied by a militarily superior foreign power employs guerrilla tactics. George Washington used them against the Brits. Stonewall Jackson used them against the Yankees. Ho Chi Minh used them against the Americans. A highly effective military tactic. That is how both the 19th century Brits and the 20th century Soviets were forced from Afghanistan. No doubt NATO will pull out too a broken military alliance before long.
