Rob wrote: We were a much more solid team with Brian Billick. Harbaugh looks completly lost. Shame on the media and venting fans for blaming Brian for the team's troubles. The Ravens simply don't have much needed high quality players on offense. They really need a wide receiver who's a playmaker. It's the players that needed to be replaced. Billick did a great job considering the players he was dealth with. Plus, I already miss his passion on the sidelines. That first line says it all. And so does the follow up line. Can the coach evaluate talent? Isn't that part of his job? 6-10, 13-4, 5-11 is solid? He is/was full of shi*!

I think that we looked so bad was what made it worse. I voted in one of those laughable polls that they would loose. Manning, love him, or hate him can pick you aprt if you give hime time. He is one of the best QB's to play in the last 25 years, no doubt.

Gee , I'm sure glad we don't have Brian Billick still around to win those boring close games for us , or his steadiness and leadership so that the defence can make some big plays and keep us from getting blown out .

I wouldn't go firing Harbaugh and benching Flacco yet. I'm willing to give them time. They're both rookies. I think we need to worry about our secondary. McAllister was getting fooled. Our return game was horrific. I thought they should've put Leonhard in. He did good in the game he played. Is Figurs still injured??? The D couldn't get any pressure on Peyton and the offense couldn't stay on field. I also think clock management is going to be a big issue. I know at the end of the game a TD wasn't going to help, but it would've at least made the score look a little better and maybe lifted morale a little. Oh well. On to the Dolphins! Who are playing good!

Sandman, Sandman, oh to wish you knew what you were spewing...
You know I would call you a clown but you are one of the only guys on here that knows what they are talking about even though I don't agree with you so I won't. But with that, I was waiting for that one person to say this is Billicks team and to wait until Hardballs brings in his people.
Billick does not draft or sign players, Ozzie does that, to blame Billick for Mitchell is rediculous.
Showing passion for his team like Billick did, into every play, shouting directions and praise, that was Billick! Hardballs is the most stoic coach on the sidelines! He looks like he is a lost boy looking for his bicycle.
Maybe the offense was Billicks fault, did ya think that the offense is the same under Hardballs? Garbage! What is the common denominator? Ozzie! He has to go also.
Also, the Leonhard/Hester comment was half a joke, but Leonhard did run the returns better than Figurs has.

This team is just another example of plain old " All talk and no action" B*** S***! This defense S****. This team S****. For those that saw this team as .500 well forget it. 3 wins at best. So now we have 2 birds in Baltimore that s*** on themselves.

Hmmmmm - your not going to get help because Bisciotti is not willing to spend big bucks for good players! Oh, he spent some money this offseason, on bums!
$11m for Willie "The bust" Anderson
$10m for Marquez "Do you ever hear his name called" Douglas
$3m for 38 year old past his prime Lorenzo Neal
$4m for Frank "I'm still learning how to tackle" Walker
All bums! You got Lito Sheppard just waiting to be traded for! He's young and good.
You might as well kiss Suggs goodbye because Bisciotti isn't paying the bucks. We'll pay $3m and get LaVar "I've been out of the league for 2 years" Arrington to replace him.
Scott and Ray Ray are gone also so you will see a linebacking corp of Arrington,$1.5m Junior Seau, and $800k Nick Griesen next year.

Look if we are all honest with ourselves the one thing that stands out game after game after game is the lack of speed this team has.We look like we run in slow motion compared to other teams.Lets just break down our position compare to our great teams.Lets start on the defensive line. Macrary, burnett, adams who got penetration, compared to haloti who is effective against the run but never rushes the passer, trevor pryce is over the hill, justin bannon gives it is all but just is average, linebackers, boulware nobody could stop is speed rush, suggs is ok but not great, ray is ray gives it is all but doesn't cover well, all in all we can't rush the passer unless we blitz. If any team doesn't go hurry up against us they are crazy because we can't cover all these speedy receivers. Chris is finished, ed reed, is hurt, the other guys, walker ivey shouldn't even be in the league.Offensive line we don't have any tackles, heap couldn't block me rushing the passer, willis is so slow it's pathetic, you saw the difference when rice carried the ball how much quicker he hit the hole, wide receivers nobody gets separation and can go deep.Special teams the new special teams coach doesn't have a clue we are worse now then we ever were, and that is one area that i am especially disappointed in considering harbaugh took pride in the philadelphia special teams> I could go on and on and on but in reality gentleman we just don't have the talent that these other teams have, we are so far behind the 8 ball that it's not even funny. We beat a 0and 6 cinn team and a cleveland team that is terrible as well. The majority of this team needs to be blown up , chris, rolle, heap, clayton, williams, even mason who will be a year older and slower next year. the 3 interior lineman are ok need 2 tackles, can't give ray the contract extension he wants to old.Let's face the facts , while disappointing we AREN"T VERY GOOD.

If you read the comments on here and sum them all up - we would have no team, no coaching staff, no front office, etc. Everyone has a different opinion about what should be done - and of course everyone thinks the quick fix is to "get rid of the player or coach" involved.
The only thing needed is patience, and time to learn what we need to do to get back on track. This is a 2-3 year process, not a 5 game turn around. Anyone who thinks this was going to be a playoff team was fooling themselves. But of course those same people now want to make changes that would make things even worse.
This is a 5-11 team, 6-10 at best. And there will be times that frustrate everyone. But let the new players and new coaches learn, and relax and enjoy the good times. There will be some of those, too!

Sandman wrote: <quoted text> Thanks. I am trying to stop cracking up as I type this. Hysterical. You're welcome....it's sad, but true. That little tidbit explained the whole game for us yesterday. P.S. Walker and Ivy are both garbage. C-Mac needs to hang em up after this year. Flacco needs to sit back down. Clayton is a bigger bust then Travis Taylor ever dreamed of being. Willis McGahee is a waste of Hydrocodone. Its no wonder the Bungals wanted Willie Anderson to take a pay cut. Todd Heap....pfftttt. There is a reason Cam Cameron isnt using Heap.... Everyone knows the TE is a huge part of Camerons Offense...and if Heap isnt being used....its because of Heap, not Cameron. Speaking of Cameron....why is he not telling McClain to carry the ball in his left hand, when running on the left side of the field??? Does McClain not know this? What happened to all these "so called" play makers that we all heard about in camp? Nakamura, Zibahoweveryouspellit? Were they or were they not getting picks every day in camp? Hmmmmmm.... Good thing we can stop the run....cause thats ALL this team has going for it. This is going to be a LONG, LONG year for us Raven fans...

No emotion, no legs after playing two tough games, no pass rush, no run game, aaannndd no protection = not a loss, but an embarassment.
What disappointed me was the run game. Please sit Magahee already and at least let him get somewhat healthy before he returns to his full half-a*sed self. WHY did they keep handing off to Rice? I'm sorry, but he is not good. He played for Rutgers, for gods sake against crappy big east teams. Give him a year before you start using him so much.
With McClean - he CANNOT be our feature back. He is slow and a converted fullback. For goal line and short-yardage situations, he is great, but not on first and second down. Not only did he look lost, but he got me -2 points fantasy (shows how good I am in fantasy).
You can't put it all on Flacco, but his confidence is waning by the week. It's bad enough he is a rookie starting, but I just feel terrilbe for him with this O-line.
D - don't need to say anything because they didn't show up.

Its easy to figure out Cinci and Clev are not playoff caliber teams 2 wins. Pitts, Tenn and Colts are 3 losses. Balt is not a playoff caliber team. When you get blown out forget about it nothing to learn get back to practice. Next Up Miami, Balt lost to Miami last yr, guess the question is did either team improve from last yr? The ANS: Miami did. So take each game one wk at a time, and try to avenge last yr loss! Take some chances try to score some pts for a change!
