It is sad that the church and its members and priests have been all judged by the actions of these criminals..
Pedophilia is not 'sad'. It is ego-driven sexual acts, against those who cannot understand or fight back, and it is pre-meditated evil.
The fact that contributors to, and supporters of, the Catholic Church, are being judged for their continued contributions and support, of an organization dedicated to avoiding prosecution of evil pedophiles, and the persecution of anyone it 'disapproves' of, is not 'sad'. It is a reaction to the evil of pedophilia, and the exasperation of those whom the Church despises for being what 'God' created them to be.
And how is that sweeping judgment of Catholics, any different than the sweeping judgment you'd like to apply to all providers of women's health care, in the wake of Gosnell's trial?
What is 'sad', is the gullible nature of folks who think 'God' is some kind of magician, who rewards them, and punishes others.
The Divine is not a 'being'. It is consciousness, and the ability to do good in the world. And it is inherent in all of us.

If you don't aid a child struggling for live or transport it to a hospital, then you ARE killing it.
Tell it to the hundreds of people who allow the 'plug' to be pulled on vegetative loved ones, daily, in facilities across the country.

I'm sure they'll feel much better, when you've explained to them that they've 'killed' their loved one. Perhaps they'll send you cards at Christmas.

It didn't teach you any such thing. People don't learn about how to "deal with" tough situations or death through having a human life killed.

What it actually taught you, and you display it here every day, is to disrespect human life, including that of your killed sibling. Your mother taught you, through her actions of disrespecting her own child in utero, was that your biological sibling was nothing to give a second thought to.

Pretend you aren't reading this, but I know you read my posts, you just have no sensible replies.

"Yet not ONE SINGLE pedophile priest that was arrested, was found to be gay."

Where's your proof of that stupidity?

ANY adult male wanting to be sexual with another MALE is GAY. Men who are interested in prepubescent males are gay pedophiles. What, you think there are no gay pedophiles?

You don't do anything here but display astounding ignorance.

Actually Sue, he/she is right. If you search his clinic, you can find advertizements that he ran (as well as pictures of the clinic itself) that shows his "clinic" had dental, family planning, family practice, gynecological and physical therapy services. The physical therapy services is what the DEF was focusing on for his drug trade apparently. Makes sense really, he was selling pain meds under the guise of "physical therapy". I shudder to think about who ELSE he hurt, who else died under those OTHER "medical practices" of his.

I apologize for my previous post. I didn't see where it was about a sibling who died a month after birth until I saw this post of yours within someone's reply. I thought it was about a sibling of yours that she aborted. I think I mixed you up with STO.

Again, I apologize for my prior post, and I'm sorry about your parent's loss.

One thing about this story that is relevant in the abortion issue is; you said, "...They chose only the things that would allow her whatever comfort possible while she clung to life..." and your sister "suffered very little". It's called "comfort care", which is exactly what we pro-lifers have stated can be done rather than abort a child from vibaility to late term pregnancy.

I agree with much of this. Just a point of fact tho - many of those priests WERE sent to such places. THEN they were sent back to rape more children.
It is sad that the church and its members and priests have been all judged by the actions of these criminals..
That would be because the leaders of that church promoted a culture of pedophelia and is STILL actively covering up its crimes. THey did it to themselves. Can't blame anyone for that BUT themselves.

Sue, you're not this dishonest. That sounds like it is, a scumbag criminal who got caught trying to do his best spin for the media.

Wrong Knutbar. Not ONE SINGLE PEDOPHILE PRIEST was found to be gay. Neither were the rabbi's teachers, neighbors or babysitters.

The BIGGEST difference here, is that nobody in the Jewish community, teaching community, tried to hide the crimes of the pedophiles in their midst, NOR did they send them to OTHER new communities to rape childrent MORE.

Rose, you want to know why your faith is "judged" by others? Its becasue people this this idiot want to keep blaming their crimes on gays.

Normal people know better.

Its NOT stupidity Lynne, its FACT.

The John Jay College found NO, ZERO, ZIP, NADA link between homosexuality and the pedophile priests.
ANY adult male wanting to be sexual with another MALE is GAY. Men who are interested in prepubescent males are gay pedophiles. What, you think there are no gay pedophiles?
You are wrong on SO many different levels on this Lynne. Not to mention simply an ignorant bitch.

Of course that's easy for you, since you regularly mouth off about things you know nothing about.

Pedophiles that target male chidrent are NOT gay. Pedophilia is a crime of OPPORTUNITY, not of sexuality you fucking idiot.
You don't do anything here but display astounding ignorance.

Exactly. MANY men experiment with sex with other men, and aren't gay.

While a pedophile CAN be gay, the FACT is the vast majority of them are not.

Not a single priest that was prosecuted for pedophelia was found to be gay. Not one. That's a fact.

Another FACT is that the RCC tried to BLAME homosexuality for the pedophile priests. However, even now, they've completely backed off of that bullshit.

Homosexuality is NOT related in ANY way to pedophelia. Period.
