Very true, Sharia Law is NOT good for women in the least. But conservative religions don't treat women well either, a fact that conservative Christians like to ignore. For the "christian" extremists who think that girls and women were well treated in past American history, I think it's time for a little reminder of some facts you probably don't want to see mentioned on a public forum. Too bad. The fact is, we had an American version of Sharia Law in the 19th century. At the beginning of the 19th century in America --
-- Girls got much less education than boys did.
-- Girls' activities, especially for middle- and upper-class girls, were limited to "ladylike" pursuits.
-- Girls and women were considered naturally weaker and inferior to boys and men.
-- It was thought shocking, outrageous, and even scandalous for a woman to give a speech in public, especially to audiences of both men and women.
-- Middle- and upper-class women were expected to confine their activities to a "separate sphere" or their homes. Women were also expected to show the "virtues" of religious piety, wifely submission, and motherly domesticity. And they always had to be escorted outside their homes by a man.
-- Married women had NO legal rights, including to own property, keep their inherited money, enter into contracts, sign legal documents, or control what happened to their wages or their children.
-- Women who were single or had to earn money had very few job opportunities and were always paid less than men who did the same job.
-- Middle- and upper-class women were expected to wear layers of restrictive and heavy clothing, and corsets that were so tight that many women suffered serious health problems as a result.
-- Almost a million African women were chattel slaves.
-- Women were not allowed to vote.
-- Married women had no choices over their reproductive process. Any woman who got married was expected to produce children, whether she WANTED to be a mother or not.
In addition to the above, as if that weren't oppressive enough, conservative men of the 19th and early 20th century opposed every measure that improved women's lives, especially a woman's right to vote. THAT'S what the 19th century feminists fought so hard to change, and eventually succeeded in doing so, even though it took 72 years, from 1848 to 1920, to achieve that goal. The shame was that it took that long for women to GET that right to vote in the first place.
Comparing Sharia Law and Chritiostianity in the U.S.? Congratulations lezbo, you just won the dumbest post of the week award. As a prize you get a 30 page transcript of all of foomuffchew's vulgar posts.

How do you know?
There was a Twilight Zone episode where an old man, played by Arthur Hunnicut, died in a hunting accident along with his dog. The old man and his dog were walking along a path in the woods not knowing they were dead. They came across a gate manned by a very charming fellow who told them it was the gate to Heaven, but the dog was not allowed in. The gatekeeper explained that he would take the dog to a very nice place where he'd be happy but it was in a separate place. The old man was indignant that it would not be Heaven if he couldn't have his beloved hound with him and so the old man moved on. He then came upon another nice man who invited him into the real Heaven and told him the dog would also be welcome to enter. This guy told the old man that the gatekeeper had really been the devil in disguise and that dogs were most certainly allowed in Heaven.
I agree with the old man...a Heaven that wouldn't allow my beloved dogs in would be no Heaven at all.
And that is why you are a pagan. You can make up your own rules for not only life but the afterlife. Hello, I am a pagan and my religion is a twilight episode. Did you get married at a Ren fair like biter? You pagans are funny. I understand why Christianity and reality truns you off. You are still 10 years olds in large adult bodies

Oh, I just know that the idiot is going to jump all over my previous post where I said no one thinks cleaning the house is "less important", managing to imply that your post renders everything I say wrong.
But anyone can see that you are talking about the woman having to do it all without pay, by herself, and without the freedom to choose, and are not talking about the act itself being unimportant.
Oh, well, let him be an ass about it.
Well you're right, and you're wrong.
I have been and still can be, an idiot, but I won't "jump all over you ",for saying housework is any less important.:)

As far as your earlier post, well that's the answer you always get about evolution, "you just don't understand how it works ",so perhaps you could tell me, where we came from, are origions?
How did life begin?
Where are all the missing links?

It is all the same story "long ago, and far away this and that happened "we think ". Or "that is our hypothesis" or "that is our theory ".

Oh hey, did you know the word soul isn't in the bible either? You really don't know much about anything.
Well tell God all about what He should have and should not have put in His word then.

He was, and so was His wife, when she bare a son.
With God all things are possible.

Before the flood, and before we lost the canopy between us and the sun, men lived hundreds of years. Animals were much larger then as well as men.
If you care to explore any of that Dr. KENT Hovind has many vids about evolution /creation.

I to have had animals in my life, that I thought very highly of, and we don't know for certain all that Heaven will be, but only what the bible teaches. If it were up to us, we would have all that makes us happy, but their are some people who had a child hurt or killed by some dogs, and I doubt heaven would be heaven if those dogs were there?
Plus, if all dogs go to heaven, don't you think it would make micheal vick nervous, if he makes the cut? Lol

I know you remember him, he was raked over the coals for doing to dogs, what is legal to do with unborn babes.

There are things in this life that we don't want to see, abortion is one of those things.

What is unfortunate, is your reading comprehension.

I stated dressed "LIKE " a viking. Not "A " viking.
Plus many share a different view of vikings then you.

Keep trying though, and sooner or later, you might catch me lying on purpose, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.:)

Listen, you lying sack of garbage, you spoke about the vikings as if they ruled their women with an iron fist. Don't try to back out of the idiocy you said.

Evolutuion does not seek to answer where all life began. Then again, you've shown that you don't care about facts. You'll just puke more false information about things that don't agree with your world view. Remember you know what happens after we all die, where all life began and you met jebus. Who can dare match your superior knowledge of the world?

There is much I don't know about the world, or Heaven to come, but I do know that there is a God.
as far as evolution, no matter how you word it, it is against the word of God. I stand on Gods word by faith, just like those who stand on evolution.

No one has ever seen anything evolve from one thing into another.
It is mainly based on Darwin, who even admitted it was all just his opinion.

He was no different then many others. He didn't like what thus saith the Lord, so he took a walk, and watched nature.

How this looked like that, but to say certain animals are our ancestors is pretty far fetched.
God said if any believe on Him, it must be by faith.
Evolution says we have the answers, but one still must believe by faith.

Dr. Kent Hovind has many vids on evolution, dinos, creation, etc. They are very interesting to say the least.

He talks alot about how earth was before the flood. An atheist used his geuss on how the earth was before.

He built a 3 story high glass building, and pumped in all that Dr. Hovind said. Oxygen levels, etc. He planted a cherry tomato plant in the middle of the building, and the plant grew extremly tall, and produced over 900 pounds of tomatos.

Bigger plants equals bigger animals to eat those plants.
Dinos were on the ark, they only had to have two small ones pink one and a blue one, which is what I feel you have the biggest problem with.
