Why are some white people so evil and hateful?

So many white people are ignorant to other cultures and show so much unneccisary hatred for them...what is the reason?...white people why do u fear/hate everything different?

Perhaps you should consider (along with checking your spelling) that it may not be a "white" thing or a racist thing at all but a culture thing.

Yes, some people hate regardless of color when faced with those things that are different to them. However, many of those things that one may consider "different" can also be considered legitimate threats or are associated with things that are threatening.

If you really are (with your broard ad over-generalized statement and questions) referring to certain groups of people making illegitimate judgements on another group of people, I would have to say that you are wasting your time. Irrational judgements do not require a reason.

May I remind you though that there are white people all over the world. Maybe you meant that Americans were ignorant to other cultures. Wait, you probably are American also. Where does that leave us?

You have it ALL wrong. The culture of America is..."BUSINESS". When other people from other cultures come here NO ONE forces them to shed their culture. They shed their culture themselves because our style of Capitalism with low socialism is so inviting that everyone wants wealth. It only appears that their culture was taken from them. People aren't flocking to America because they enjoy their culture from the country they came from. Some white people are just bad news and the world can do without them (Yeah YOU Rush Limbaugh). Honestly, I am getting older and all everyday white cuture has ever shown me was hated or strange fear of non-whites, subliminal homosexuality, and an inability to think outside of thier typical patterns of thought. Are they all bad, no. But enough are that it is noticable. But I think black people have realized this now and it is time to look past the evils of white culture and be accountable for ourselves and our future. If there are positive white people out there that are offended by my words, please don't be. I wish I met you some point in my life so that I could think diffrently.

I'm a white guy that considers myself to be a live and let live type of person. Don't ask any thing of me or infringe upon my property or my rights and I couldn't care less what you do or how you live.

You have some very incorrect assumptions. I am black and grew up with, went to school with, and work with many white people who are very good and caring people. People who donate their time and money to help other PEOPLE who are less fortunate, regardless of the color of their skin. Could you please define what you mean by the last sentence. I have experienced change every day of my life in all aspects of it, and do not understand what you mean by that comment.

Most people (including white folks) are neither ignorant nor hateful. I don't think all white people are hateful. However, I think the vast majority are ignorant and sometimes this manifests itself in hate.
We can't entirely blame them as they didn't grow up with our culture or the burden of racism. Instead they grew up with white people all around them and when we come along their good old instinctual xenophobia kicks in.
So they invent and perpetrate stereotypes to single us out and alienate us, fuelled by their own petty insecurities.

Only a minority of white people are hateful however I think the vast majority are (understandably) ignorant and that often comes off as racism.

I live near Toronto, Ontario Canada, the most multicultural place on earth.

I am also a white person (a man). I personally feel that there is something that makes white males different from the rest of the planet, not better, but different.

White men are more manipulative, creative, intelligent (as in intellectual), avaricious (greedy) and dominating. The only group that shares these traits moreso are Jewish people (which is hard to categorically define).

I don't suggest these qualities make us any better, in fact I wonder if we are truly more evil. Though it is a minority of listeners, white people have a greater proclivity to listen to evil music (Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica etc.) This is not to rap music cannot be as praisworthy of evil, in fact rap music sales often cater to white populations in America anyway.

I came to this site hoping for some insight, but most people seem to making the usual stereotypical generalizations.

I will say, Sonny from Baltimore who initiated this debate certainly falls into the category of why white people hold prejudices against black people. Sonny is wearing a doo-rag. He can't spell. He is hateful and accusatory rather than substantiating his comments with intelligent examples. These are the prejudices whites hold against blacks.

While blacks do have legitimate grievances against the racist treatment from whites, it is time that black people start getting their own house in order, so to speak. Get a job! Get an education! Try hard! Use proper grammar! Read books! I understand that blacks have a tendency to modify language to conform to cultural expression, but this really is not helping mass perceptions of whites towards blacks.

India was colonized but look where she is headed. Why can't African states do the same? The black nation continues to wallow in its own filth...are Africans going to continue to blame all of their problems on white colonialism. Living in a slum is partially a choice. Give me a break!

Yes white people have a tendency to be hateful and oppressive, but that is a stereotype. We'll keep working on that, but its time for blacks not to blame all their problems on whites and start trying to achieve things on there own. Prove the world wrong!

Anyway, I just want to say that my comments were not meant to be hurtful. I don't hate anyone. I feel I am just being matter-of-fact.

My thing is that political correctness prevents people from expressing their true feelings. Political correctness has a tendency to promote lying. Well, here is what a white guy thinks (me). If you don't like it, tough, but you can't deny that I hold these opinions. Additionally, I think my feelings well represent my demographic group.
