Well you can kiss Tranor goodbye if a contender is interested in him.Only in Oriole world would a .238 hitter be coveted.I guess they don't want anybody showing Itrusz up .It's funny how 11 teams might be interested in DCab but we couldn't even trade him for minor leaguers.I hope Guthrie is getting himself in condition to be a one man rotation.Wonder who McPhail will sign out of a Salvation Army list of players.

I think we should have kept Cabrera. Sure he sucks, but he sucks less then some of the other bums we have. Cabrera is 27 which is the magic age where some guys mature. If we had 3 or 4 good starters then I would say release him, but we have no one so why not. I hope he goes to a bad team that way if he breaks out it doesn't matter as much. I would like to see him go to the Pirates and beat the Phillies 4 or 5 times a year.

Good luck Cabrera! If you ever get over that hump it is obvious it would not be in B-more. That is not a knock by any means against the O's organization, though one in a sad state the past decade, but mentally each year in an O's uni it's been the same old.

I accept the decision made by the O's to give Cabrera a chance to start fresh elsewhere, but hell do we need pitching. For the O's to hold on to Cabrera for our lack of pitching was not fair to him, though, especially if he could start new elsewhere and achieve his full potential. It's not a knock on the O's, but just a case of needing a change of scenery.

Go ahead and start with knowcking the O's and saying the were hindering him. Not the case. He had every opportunity to succeed with some great pitching coaches.

I love how failing to get his game under control in 10 years is positive for him. Wouldn't you think he would be pissed the team that has invested 10 years in him no longer wants him because of his failure to produce? At least express some gratitude to the organization for sticking with him this long. It's amazing how ungrateful some players can be.

Cabrera will go to another team and win the Cy Young. The Orioles didn't know how to handle this guy.

In your wildest dreams. He is grabage now and will always be garbage. Why any national league team would want him is a mystery to me. He is the most unathletic player in all sports and in the national league you need to field your position more because of all the sacrifice bunts. he will be a disaster over there.

How about the O's blowing the opportunity to move from a slum in Ft. Lauderdale to Dodgertown? Who would have expected this inept franchise to materially change the lease agreement at the last minute?

But then again, if you're gonna run a 2-bit organization you really don't need anything more than a second rate spring training site. At some point they will be in south florida all by themselves and they can use the excuse that they couldn't play spring training games as the reason why they stink in the regular season. Saves on travel costs, though.

I dont understand , we let go a pitcher that has an era of better than 5, then we want to get a pticher that has a better than 4 era.
Then they want to get a 1st baseman for 160 mil, and still have no pitching. That makes sense, huh no! That is why we are where we are last place and we will continue to be there. How nice

Welcome to the world of how baseball operates! No one wants Cabrera around here, especially given the fact he would go to arbitration and get a raise for what he has done. He would have doubled his salary. As far as Tex, that is a whole different story. You kind of answered your own question on why Redding.
