Does anyone have a solution to the excessive heat coming off the rear cylinder? It's not awful but it is noticable.
I just bought a (left over, but "new") 2009 Road Star S. The bike has Vance & Hines Long Shots. I am surprised that this is an issue. I had a Road Star previously, but don't recall this problem.
A couple Yamaha shops in my area tell me there's not much that can done. I've considered an extra heat shield over the Long Shots or maybe thermal wrap (or whatever you call it) that is popular on some of the custom(ized) bikes.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
