Nikki, If I Were You I'd Trade In My
2000 Beetle For A Nice New Mercury Sable.
Mercury Sables Drive Well. Once You Get One
You'll Probably Like It And Want To Keep It. At
Least You Won't Be Having Trouble With The Beetle
Any More. But Get A Mercury Sable Trust Me You'll
Feel Good You Bought One. Trust Me.

my 2000 new beetle keeps slowing down almost to a stop.theres no acceleration feels like your driving with the handbreak on,then all of a sudden it comes back to life for another 500 yards.best way to descibe it is it feels like youve just run out of fuel.
My 2004 Beetle does the same thing. I'll be driving at freeway speeds and all of a sudden the engine cuts out and I lose speed, then after about 2 seconds it kicks back in like nothing ever happened. No warning lights come on or anything. The dealer claims they can't find anything wrong with the car as the power losses haven't caused any error messages in the car's computer. Did you ever determine a problem/solution?

2002 Bettle can anyone tell me about the sound in the rear of the bug? Sounds like something is broke rolling around back there? If it's the spolier how do you fix it????
There's a button under the dash near steering column that will open the spoiler. Lubricate the sliding parts that moves the spoiler.

I have a 2002 Diesel VW. What stops up on it and makes water soak into the inside of it? I had it fixed one time and the guy told me something just stops up and all you had to do was unstop it.

I've "temporarily" misplaced my manual for my 2000 VW Bug. Due to work I had done, my clock is now showing military time and celcius temp. Can anyone tell me how to get it back to "normal"? Thanks so much...it's driving me nuts!!

I own a 1998 New Beetle, and I am sorry to say that it has been the worst car I have ever owned. I should have known there would be problems when the VW hood ornament popped off after the first week. The New Beetle is a disgrace to the vintage Beetle. At 11 years old, my car only has 60,000 miles on it, it's been babied it's entire sad life. Here's a list of all of it's various problems: the headlight wiring has melted onto the headlights, the fuze box melted, the air compressor/air conditioning unit failed, the windows have fallen off their tracks, all the interior buttons for locking and controlling the windows and doors have fallen off, the driver side seat lever fell off, the interior roofing and trim fell off, none of the electrical jacks work. This is a "little old lady" car that's lives in a heated garage, it's driven to and from the grocery store and or errands. It's had all of it's routine maintence, and it is literally falling apart and melting around me! VW says that since the warranty only covers it for 2 years, that I am just gonna have to deal with it. That they offer the same warranty as any other dealer, and I shouldn't expect anything more from them. I say it's no wonder auto makers are going bankrupt! You can't even count on Volkwagen to stand behind their vehicles. It's a shame, but I will never buy another VW again :(
