After a rough shift from park into drive the car isn't shifting into overdrive at speed. It runs through the four gears and then won't get itself into overdrive. I noticed that the lettering in the dash board in now reversed from how it normally looks. The letters and now Framed in black, the opposite of how it used to look. I need help quickly, I am on the road as you read this from NJ to NV....long way. It's as if it's in a safe mode of some kind....please help.

My son's 1999 Passat was having the same problem.
I took it to my mechanic and he disconnected the ABS module and now the car shifts perfect. He said the ABS mod. was sending some screwy signals to the transmision mod. Hope this helps

I had to have the 2 lower control aarm replaced while out of town. A non VW shop replaced them and now the ABS light is on as well as the Anti-Slip Regulation Warning light. What could be the problem?

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Scorpio

The last thing you want right now is to be left alone, because you're feeling far too sociable for that. You're very outgoing right now, and will manage to hold your own in any social setting. If you're hoping to turn someone's head, they'll be putty in your hands once you give them the full impact of your charm and personality. They don't stand a chance!
