2008 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbocharged

First off, If the american car companies don't start working together instead of against eachother, There isn't going to be anymore American Cars. Second, I hate the ford mustang, but I throroughly respect truly modded mustangs and i respect the potential of fords 5.0 and 4.6 v-8 engines. The fact is though, a stock fox body 5.0 mustang, produced 235bhp at peak during production and the few years of the new body style that were equipped with the 5.0, only produced 215bhp at most. In fact, the newer body style 5.0's only ran a 15 second quarter mile. Stock for a stock, a chevy cobalt ss turbo charged would be a mustang 5.0 on the 1/4 mile. the curb weight of a fox body 5.0 was also about 3100 lbs. compared to the turbo cobalt's 2800 lbs. The turbo cobalt's 4 cylinder ecotec engine rated at 260bhp is also electronically limited by the ecm. with a tune alone, these cars are capable of producing as much as 315bhp. Like i said, I completly respect the community of modded mustangs, but stock for stock, the cobalt is faster and more powerfull than the mustang 5.0

I have a dodge neon acr atm and am looking at buying a 09 cobalt ss turbocharged or a used neon srt-4 as far as aftermarket parts are concerned theirs more than i can count for the srt-4 is their alot or gonna be alot for the cobalt i couldnt find any information on it thanks. Mustangs i have a 5.0L mustang and yes the car is quick but to be beating a srt-8 you must have put some money into the engine because stock vs. stock the numbers dont match the challenger srt-8 is pushing 420hp 1/4 mile in about 13.3 sec your mustang 300hp 1/4 mile in about 3.9

Chrysler is the biggest heaps of $hit ever made in USA.
Theyre worst than Fiat who want to buy their garbage.
Another company that cant even compete and is about to die with GM.
GM and Chrysler put together couldnt even build a good car that anyone would buy even if they use Chevy SB 350's which is about the only thing GM ever did right besides built the Corvette.

So stop being in denile and wake up and see the real world that Ford is the only one surviving in American car industries.

i raced a mustang with a chevy colbalt ls 5 speed manual and lost! was my chevy cobalt even a competition to the mustang? or was it already a win situation for the mustang? i know with a manual transmission if one has good control they are able to smoke anything?

New here, but my 08 imp ss has smoked many mustang gts old and new. 5.3 liter v8 and suprisingly fast for being stock. I am so tired of Mustang owners thinking there are no cars anywhere that can beat them. But thats why, generally speaking, mustang owners are a bunch of punk D Bags

Would even give that Corvette a run and its STOCK.!!

Cobalts are plain out foreign JUNK, maybe quick but everything on it will break down starting with the Axles and this list goes on.
