THE NEW GENERATION TRIUMPH TIGER TO ME LOOKS TO BE A WINNER. MUCH BETTER LOOKING THAN THE OLD ONE. WELL DONE TRIUMPH FOR DESIGNING AN ABSOLUTE STUNNER OF A BIKE. I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE ONE FOR A RUN. IF IT GOES AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS I'M GONNA BE HOOKED. I'M NOT MUCH OF A FAN FOR RACE ORIENTATED BIKES. BMW'S R1200GS LOOKS GOOD BUT A DENT TO THE WALLET.
IF REASONLY PRICED THE TRIUMPH COULD BE WORTH A SECOND THOUGHT TO A GS. THERE'S A DEFINATE MARKET OUT THERE FOR IT. I HOPE THAT INSURANCE PRICES DON'T SPOIL THE FUN OF OWNING ONE EITHER.
SEE YOU AT THE NEC!

Just bought a 2007 Triumph Tiger with ABS. Has a major problem with surging power in 1st quarter turn of throttle. Not as smooth takeoff as even Yamaha FZ1. Several riders report this but there is no factory fix that my dealer knows about.
Would wait to buy until this is fixed. It seems dangerous. BTW I've been riding for 40 years and have had almost every type of bike imaginable from Harleys to 2 strokes to Japanese bikes. Currently have Yamaha FZ6 and Harley Road glide. Expected more from the Triumph tiger 1050 from all the writeups

Have to agree with Paul I have a new 2007 Triumph Tiger. Tricky coming out of a slow corner with on/off power. Also some surging at slow speeds in traffic -irritating rather than a major, but very noticeable after riding my Suzuki V Strom 650.
