I feel very disappointed that the 2008 Toyota Avalon does not offer a power tilt and telescopic steering column. The 2008 Nissan Maxima, Hyundai Azera, Buick Lucerne, Chrysler 300, Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Tundra, Toyota Sequoia, and most of the 2008 Lexus vehicles already have power tilt and telescopic steering column, so I do think that the 2009 Toyota Avalon should offer a power tilt and telescopic steering column at least on the top of the line Limited model. I plan to get a 2009 Toyota Avalon Limited in the very future. If I want to buy the 2009 Toyota Avalon Limited, then the 2009 Toyota Avalon Limited must come with a new power tilt and telescopic steering column instead of a manual tilt and telescopic steering column since the Toyota Avalon Limited comes with standard driver's 2-way memory systems which controls the power outside mirrors and power seats and it also comes with standard heated and ventilated front seats, optional 8-way power front passenger seat, etc. I really like this current design Toyota Avalon, so if this current design since last redesigned since 2005 makes at least a minor change every year, then for 2009, the change that I want for this current design Toyota Avalon is to offer a power tilt and telescopic steering column on the top of the line Limited model and also a Vehicle Stability Control with traction control and brake assist should be made standard on all 2009 Toyota Avalon models instead of doing other changes in equipment. I really do want that power tilt and telescopic steering column to be offered on this current design Toyota Avalon for the 2009 model year on the top of the line Limited model really, really badly rather than wait for the Avalon to be redesigned in 2011. Can somebody please reply to this forum. I really hope that their reply is that the 2009 Toyota Avalon should offer a power tilt and telescopic steering column on the top of the line Limited model.

abod wrote: i want see avalon 2008 from inside and what diffrant between last models there isnt much difference. The wood trim looks alot better than last years. And the front grille in much larger and full of chrome. In addition the front passangers seat now features 8 way adjustment and 2 way adjustable lumbar support, something which was not available in previous years. For me, that would be a reason to get the 2008 instead of the 05-07 models.

Just looked at an 'O8 Avalon that was a demo with 4k miles in Tampa. Very nice car, but the dealer insisted on making a profit on the car, wouldn't budge from $32.5 and wanted to add junk fees as well. Said he could drop the $600 "dealer fee" if I was paying cash and not financing (even though they make it on the back end through financing), yet when I told the manager I could stroke him a check and close the deal, he went scurrying to his "boss's office and came back to tell me that he couldn't go any lower. Now, if I bought a car and drove it 4k miles, the value would drop thousands, yet this clown expects me to pay over what it cost him when it has been driven that far??? What a bufoon....

Does anyone have info' on the 2009 Avalon? Specifically, major body style change and/or specification changes.
Am thinking of buying a new 08 Avalon, but it is late in the model year and if there are going to be major changes, I might be better off to wait for the 09's. I don't know when the new ones come out, but it could be in the next two or three months.
Please email me : r-beaman@suddenlink.net if you have any info',
Thanks in advance, Bob-tx

I'm planning on buying a 2008 fully loaded Avalon shortly. It has Avalon Limited,Exterior: Desert Sand Mica,Interior: Ivory Leather,Cargo tote Remote engine starter,Mudgards,Package C. The dealer gave me a price of $34,098 but I know it is not his lowest. Perhaps you can help me on where I should be on the price and if I should hold off until the end of July instead of June. You can email me at lavenderfields88@yahoo.com. Thank you

We just checked out the Avalon and the Lexus at Longo in El Monte, Ca. We are leaning toward the Avalon, because of the price and it being more spacious. It has features we like and that are standard. We are hoping that the navigation system will be standard on the limited. We noticed it was on the Camry's XLE.

Lynn- I too am looking for a similar car. Have you had any luck with a response to price in your post from the auto expert or anyone else that has had a recent purchase of a 2008 Limited Avalon? Also, did you get the navigation in that price quote? Email me at tommyecat@aol.com. ....I'm planning on buying a 2008 fully loaded Avalon shortly. I received a message back from the dealer at Longo in El Monte, CA.(see below)I plan to go through the fleet dealer to get the best price. I want the blizzard pearl with the dark gray interior.
"The 2009 Limited model for the Avalon does come standard with Navigation, and we will start to see the 2009 model arriving in September-November."

Just heard that in 2010 the Avalon will be shelved. What's in the works are plans to extend the wheelbase on the Camry.....Goodbye Avalon

(Quote who="Betty Luther") Our 2008 Avalon has the worst paint job we have ever seen. When you just brush by, it leaves scratches under which is black surface. You can not even touch the paint without it looking damaged. I would never buy another Toyota. And it always look terrible. Can this be fixed?
