No, it was 77 off topic posts plus 10 posts about cars, of which, half were putting down the Volt.

That is 87 posts for the the "guy" ... total. Go back and count.

Read the paragraph again.

"77 non topic posts, of which, most were direct attacks"

"10 actual posts talking about cars,"

This is why I don't talk to them directly anymore. Pointless. The "guy" wants car facts. No name calling. Conversation about cars.

Well, this is a Volt forum and I posted a Volt link with facts about the Volt.

This is his buddy calling me names and obviously not posting anything about cars. Plus the "guy's" response, being in total agreement with the name caller.

The "guy" responded:

"Agree."

He goes against his desire for "car facts. No name calling. Conversation about cars", and agrees with his buddy.

He wants all pro-Volt posters to leave the Volt forum.

He will never see this as a contradiction.

My apologies for that.
It was actually a mistake. Honest.
I thought I responded to post 2880.

Now, just a simple question.
Could you please point out where I put down the Volt.

This supports my claim that my battery has actually gotten better as far as range is concerned.

The battery is conditioned either in a bad way or in a good way. Depending on it's use.

Always keeping the car plugged in is a good thing per the manual.

I used my Kill-A-Watt meter to see how much draw there was if I kept the car plugged in after it was fully charged, and it came to about 5 cents per day if I didn't use the car for 24 hours.

I've had the car almost 16 months and I am getting about 2 more miles per charge than when I bought the car.

This guy got a 48 mile charge. Had to be the middle of summer, and I probably have a lead foot compared to him, but it's all good. Best charge I've ever got is 45.

There is an old trick with old school cel phones that have l.i. batteries.

When the phone needs charging constantly:

When the charge is full:

While the phone is on, take the battery out.
Wait about 1 or 2 minutes and put it back in.

The charge will last about 4 or 5 times longer.

That is called conditioning the battery.

It's supposed to work with smart phones also, but you're supposed to leave the battery out about 4 or 5 minutes.

OK enough of the whiner crybabys and back to the topic of this thread...

and Facts only please.

Those crappy unions have outlasted their significance by driving up costs and introducing rigidities that harm competitiveness and frustrate innovation.

Looking at that "fire trap" obamamobile is a prime example.

Too Funny.

It's a new day. Let's hope everyone will be polite.

An interesting thing about the Volt, GM may put a three cylinder in it.

"Sales of the Chevrolet Volt rose to 30,090 units in 2012, making it the top selling plug-in vehicle on the market.

The just-released global sales figures put the Volt ahead of both the Prius plug-in hybrid, which sold 27,181 in its first year on sale, as well as the Leaf, which sold 25,435 units".

2012 Sales numbers...interesting.

Volt.....30.090
Prius....27,181
Leaf.....25,435

Note:
January 2013 sales for all three have dropped significantly.

They forgot to add Ampera sales to the Volt total. These are global sales numbers and Volt is Ampera to the outside world. Someone needs to call the reporter and let them know.

I couldn't either.
Because it was at the top of a list of Volt related news clips, I just assumed it was current.
Remains to be seen if it is current or not.
If I come across anything further, will advise.

Further information.
Altho' there is no date, the article references current news in several instances within the article itself.
Furthermore, articles accompanying that one are current.
So until I learn otherwise, I'm assuming it is current.
In the meantime, I'll keep looking.

Granted, the article is undated.
But it references info from 2011 and 2012.
So it can't be a 2010 article.
Until somebody proves otherwise, I'll stick with it as current.
We shall see what we shall see.

GM's own website shows a global total of 30,090 units sold, including the Ampera.
The number shown in the article is correct.

From the article posted to show that workers were to be laid off in March.

That was one year ago this month. Paragraph 8:

"GM has promised to ramp up production of both the Volt and the similar Opel Ampera this year, with an initial target of 60,000 units 75 percent of those vehicles intended for the U.S. market. Spokesperson Malcho declined to say whether the maker now will miss the 2012 target."

I didn't know Toyota was a union shop. 161 fires, but luckily, no deaths.

http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2012/10/10/t...

Or maybe it is the Grand Cherokee that is the fire trap. Unfortunately, 284 people died in those fires.

http://news.consumerreports.org/cars/2012/01/...

Hmmmmm ...... an average of 307,000 vehicle fires over the period of time that the Volt didn't exist. Unfortunately, many deaths.

http://www.nfpa.org/assets/files/pdf/research...

Over 235,000,000 miles driven in the Volt. Not one reported fire.

http://www.chevrolet.com/volt-electric-car.ht...

Oh those pesky fire traps!
