It's no damn wonder we have the moral of an anvil. A half BILLION $ investment & I watch it on the 6oclock news & read about it on here. Nice going Toyota, & great job utilyzing your worldclass communication prowess!...or perhaps I took the day off the day you made the announcement to the TMs? Oh well, I wouldn't know how to act anyway if you didn't insult me.

Did you even read the article? Nothing has been announced at all. What did you want them to tell you - that they had a meeting with the state? Get over yourself and quit lookin' for how everyone has dissed you, man!

I do work at tmmk and have been there for 15 years. Im excited about the new plant. Lets see new jobs bring in new buisnesses, higher property value, advancement oppurtunities, job security etc.... But the most important is that it provides dreams come true. Think about how many people want to have a family, nice cars and a home but cant afford none of it. Well now tthey can. New buisnesses means more jobs for our teenagers and they dont have to travel to leexington for work. The only negative i can think of is the traffic. But i am not selfish at all so if i have to wait at red light an extra cycle i dont give a s***. Thank you toyota for beleiving in kentucky.

$19/hr don't buy a new house and car for the family. Now $31/hr (like all the other automobile companies) would!! But as long as there are people like you that don't think they deserve a middle class income, we will continue the slide downward. And our kids are the ones that will pay for your ignorance when ky is still 20 yrs behind the rest of the world

Yea, you're right. I overreacted. The press is alot different now than it was when I started there almost 24yrs.ago. The way they handled announcing the addition of plant 2 back then comes to mind. Around '91 they made a formal announcement to the TMs inside the plant before the media got a hold of it...and I'm not the only 1 there by a long shot that thought it seemed kind of shitty seeing it on the news 1st...

i made more $/hour in 1984 than what a lot of jobs start out at now. Thank Bush for all the hispanics he invited to the US that live 10 to a house and pool their money together to live cheap so they can send lots of cash back to mexico. Good jobs are gone for the working class.

Go to Mississippi and see what Toyota starts their new employees out at. It was $13/hour last year. Toyota likes the cheap wages in the South. More profit for Toyota. Welcome to The Dirty South!
