What can I drive now a days.

My Toyotas might either rust or take off uncontrollably. My older Ford with Firestones might rollover. Or it just might catch fire. My GM engines might fail because of DexCool. My Chryslers might fall apart just because they are garbage.

Yikes, I might have to take a bike to work.

Jeeps I don't know what to drive anymore.

And, Ralph Nader is quiet as a mouse. Not a squeak out of him. His only aim is to bring down American industry. The Japanese are immune to critics from the far left.

The problem is when people install wayyyy to many floor mats in vehicles, or are not intelligent enough to use the factory clips provided by the automaker to secure factory mats. Its not a Toyota problem, its simply operator error. As far as a "recall" being issued on gas pedals, that may be in the works, but can you blame one of the leading automakers for trying to cover themselves in this case? Lets think back to why you now have to label a cup of coffee as WARNING: Contents of this cup are hot! hmmm....sounds like a common sense case over complicated.

I think it is more than a mat or gas pedal problem.

I don't know anymore. If you go to the NHSTA website and check the 2009 Ford F150 there are 5 complaints of sudden acceleration. Does this mean Ford has a problem, or are they floor mats and driver errors. My money is on a little of everything.

If the people that were killed in August were driving a Ford then Ford would be in the pickle barrel, rather than Toyota.

What if we found out that the Cadaillac Escalade that Tiger Woods was driving did the sudden accel thus his crash. Will Cadillac be under the gun because of the high profile driver?

Who knows...who cares? No matter how many precautions we take cars will still accelerate, tires will blow, people will spill hot coffee....you name it, it'll happen. But since it's the Good Ole USA, it'll always be someone elses fault
