I have a 2005 Toyota 4-runner, I took it in for new tires and they told me when they got it up in the air, that the undercarriage was so rusted out that it was unsafe to drive--WHAT???? I am freaking out!!! Trying to get an inspector out to look at it is turning into a nightmare :( so far I am getting the run around :( I am very unsatisfied-actually completely horrified! The service manager said "if you would have hit a serious bump, your engine could have fallen out--in 30 years I have never seen anything like this!" :( I am still in shock.

We own a T100 Truck and jon the way to work my back bumper almost fell off. The truck has been used as a car and not as even a working truck. We have been told that since it is 12 years old, there is nothing that can be done about this issue.
I plan to write to Toyota a letter. It would be great if poeple all got in touch with me. We could issue a class action suit. There is no excuse for the amount of rust and the danger this could pose to someone.
Thank you for your time.
If you would like for me to post pictures just post it to this site.
you sure

any one had problems with the tacoma getting wet inside every time it rains. Comes in somewher behind the dash. Took it to the dealer - their answer was "did you leave the windows open, and you should park only in a covered area." It was taken to the dealership four times and they still couldn't find where the rain was getting into the vehicle. I was told by the shop manager - TAKE IT TO A BODY SHOP - they can find the leak. When corporate toyota was contacted the answer they gave the vehicle had been in the shop only once for the problem. Amazing how the repair orders and history for this probllem disappeared. I am not happy with the local dealership. I have no recourse for this problem other than putting the word out BEWARE!
