Yes, mice and other rodents can get inside air ducts, filter boxes, behind the dash etc. This problem, however, is not limited to Toyota. They will chew on rubber, plastic, hoses, etc. All cars have those materials.
I have had mice in my garage several times. I have had 2 Toyotas and cars from "American" car companies and fortunately have never had them in the vehicles (as far as I know).

Are you talking used? There are very few all american cars out there anymore. I just watched a show on the Dodge Challenger, on how it is an American icon car. Both plants where it is built were in Canada and Mexico. Pretty sad.
YES made in Canada & Mexico BUT THE PROFITS COME TO THE U.S.A.

As with any JAP CRAP OR OTHER IMPORT GOING BACK TO JAPAN OR ELSEWHERE

It sounds like to me there's a ton of people hatin' on Toyota. With that being said, are you jealous? Any can apply for a job at the plant just as I did 14 years ago. Luckily I had the pleasure of not working as a temp as some of the people did. Which brings me to the point, where you just to stupid or illiterate to pass the test. So your on here being salty? If Toyota pulled out of Geotgetown, not only would this be a ghost town and a ghost state.... There would be alot of surrounding states and places that would have issues also. Toyota suppliers are all over the country. So why on earth would you wish for tons of people to lose their jobs, just because you think foreign cars aren't as "American" made? Im an American and I build this vehicle, as many Americans do. I'm not trying to hide the fact that we did have issues with the accelerator. Many companies have had recalls over the years also. We just were made as an example because of the "Big Bail Out". I'm not about to bash those other companies just because I work where I work. I feel bad for what has happened to those autoworkers, because that could very well be me one day. We all need to support each other and stop bashing other people and companies just because it doesn't affect us.

I am not hating on anyone. I own property and homes in the area. If Toyota leaves my property value will decrease. I am just stating my true experiences. I loved Toyota until the recall and the mice situation. I am a professional with 20 yrs. under my belt I don't need a factory job. I will definitely buy a mercedes next. Thats all I'm saying.

Your opinion is your opinion. We don't have a union here and I'm really glad of that. I have worked for the UAW in past years, and it was really bad. I can only speak on what I know as far as TMMK goes. Some people make this company out to be the worst in all the land. I'm sure if they would have been as bad as everybody makes them out to be. I would have left years ago. With almost any job that you do (unless it's your own business) you will not be 100% happy with everything that goes on. In spite of all the negativity that I and we as a company have faced. I still am very happy with the place I work. And just because you have a union, that doesn't make everything right.

For the record I did work for the UAW at Trane Company in Lexington. With that being said, the thing I did not like was the strikes and some of the grievances that were filed by people who came to work drunk, high, or fighting in the work place. We never, ever, ever, got bonuses, anything at Christmas, or anything for the morale of the employees. As far as the insurance it was ok. The co-pays are ten times better at Toyota where I work now. So, before you call me a liar, ask me first next time if whatever your saying I'm lying about is true or not.The fact that someone can come into work drunk and and get walked out and file a grievance, and get brought back numerous times, is not ok.

i still say you're a liar thru omission! u tried to make it sound like you worked at the big 3 uaw as a comparison. what you cant tell us is what the conditions would have been like if
trane wasnt union!! if it was bad with people bargaining on your behalf, imagine what it would have been if trane just gave you what they wanted to!!! proven fact- unions provide 30% better benefits than comparible non union shops. google it
