4x4 Limited Slip Differentials?

I have a 2006 Tundra V8 4x4 SRT, TRD Package, and I pull a two horse trailer. My driveway is fairly steep with a couple of tight curves. When in 4x4 Lo Range, backing uphill, it appears that both differtials are locked. When steering is cranked all the way to one direction the inside f & r tires slip as if differtials were locked. The 06 Tundra brochure mentions "mechanical limited-slip rear differential" under features with no other description.

Anybody have any more info on this?

Thanks. Gary

4x4 on solid pavement is tough on trucks. All 4 tiers want to grip and when tuning the difference between L & R need to slip. I’m not an expert but that’s what I think. I’m not even sure if I’m reading your question right. Hope I help.

Only the rear diff has the lsd. The front diff feels locked because the ring gears have fused together do to abuse.

I have a 4 wheel drive 2002 nissan frontier and i was curious is there any way to get both of my tires to spin when i do a burnout. I tried doing research on limited slip but it was no help I dont know to muck about it so i thought i would ask?

The missing no unless you have positive traction or limited slip differential only one wheel will spin in your differential there are 4 littel gears called spiter gears and only the tire with the spider gears will spin the spider gear detect tenchion when trning a corner and let the right tire spin faster the the left tire same thing. In a brack stand burn out . In a limited slip the cluck pack will catch and and stop the burn out but engaeing the other tire
