"It just went to the floor like some other system had control of it," said Moscicki, who raced high-performance sports cars and previously owned a Porsche restoration business.

HaHa what a crock, there is absolutely nothing in that pedal assy that would enable any other system to control it! There is no motor or actuator of any type! The only possibility is if return spring was broken or removed somehow but that would be very obvious upon inspection!

Just like I said would happen a month ago. Taking it to the dealer is a false sense of security. When our 2009 Corolla jumped the curb (all 4 wheels) and I took ours to the dealer and they said nothing was wrong is when I immediately traded it it. Toyota still doesn't have a clue on what the problem is. Ours had 12,787 miles on it and was 20 months old. I got $13,350 on a trade in for a 2010 Honda Civic LX on Jan. 24th after hearing about the problem on NBC news the Thursday before. I wonder what the trade in value is now?

Of course you are going to have other people saying it still isn't so. It's not Toyota's fault the dum-dums don't know how to drive or they will say people will say it's the cars fault that they were speeding. I bet there are some people out there that think the sky is not blue. Oh well, I'm rid of the problem. Just wanted to say "I told you so."

With that acceleration problem still not resolved you would have to be a FOOL TO GET A TOYOTA, but there are FOOLS out there. I wouldn't drive a Toyota IF IT WERE GIVEN TO ME FOR FREE. It's just the not knowing factor that it will take off with a mind of its own at any second. It's just a matter of time.
