I like how they compare a 5.7 Dodge to a 4.7 Toyota. I guess there were no 5.7 toyotas available for the test. This comparison was a total joke.

The Tundra with 5.7L embarrasses the Dodge when it comes to towing and performance. This "comparison" was obviously rigged by hampering the Toyota with a 4.6L engine.

Compare the Dodge with the old 4.7L SOHC motor to the Tundra with the 5.7L and see how it turns out.

This is from a Worker where the Dodge Ram is Built, and we UAW workers take pride in building our trucks. Quality is surely important to us. Pride makes us demand out of ourselves the best we can when building our trucks to ensure we deliver the best product possible.

Toyota faces new woes with Tacoma truck recall
By P. Parameswaran (AFP)– 4 days ago

WASHINGTON — Toyota is facing new woes with another recall -- this time involving its Tacoma pickup trucks -- after US President Barack Obama warned carmakers not to drag their feet on beefing up vehicle safety.

Toyota said it was voluntarily recalling 8,000 of the 2010 model Tacoma four-wheel drive pickups in the United States to inspect the front drive shaft.

"The front shaft in these vehicles may include a component that contains cracks that developed during the manufacturing process," said a statement by Toyota Motor Sales, USA.

"As those vehicles are used, the cracks may eventually lead to the separation of the drive shaft at the joint portion," it added.

The Tacoma trouble is the latest embarrassment for the world's biggest automaker, which has recalled millions of vehicles in past months due to problems linked to accelerator and brake functions.

The new Ram is way nicer of a truck than the Tundra!!

Hey SDS, toyota dealers make videos pitting the tundra against the quad cab....NOT the Ram crew cab and then talk about how the big tundra has way more room in the back than the Ram. That's how shady they are!! PATHETIC!!! The Ram crushes the Tundra in every aspect!!! Tundra is JUNK!!!!!!

Is it OK that GMC has a commercial showing their truck having to pull a Ram out of the mud?

Dodge is pretty much giving the Rams away with the huge discounts. That explains why the Dodge is seeing such a sales drop. Chrysler can't afford to keep giving the Ram away for long, soon Fiat will stop making them, and will be selling a Fiat 500 based mini-pickup.

Sorry to remind you, but most Rams are built in Mexico. Fiat is investing heavily to expand incremental capacity in Mexico, as they plan to assemble all Rams there. Good luck.

Last Ram I sat in smelled like refried beans. Salesmen told me that sometimes the line workers in Mexico spill the contents of their burrito behind the dash module when assembling it.

Sales are down compared to a year ago when they were making Rams as fast as they could without taking orders from customers......the factory is making them as fast as they can with one shift,..they don't have enough at the storage lots off site of the dealers lots like they used to have....Rams a money maker for Fiat,....read the newspaper

So it outclasses the Tundra in everyway. Well lets see it tows less its not as fast.It has a single cam engine compared to a 32 valve dohc engine it has a 5 speed tranny compared to a 6 speed. Oh wait I know one thing it does better it rides a little smoother because it has a weaker coilspring rear suspension compaired to a more traditional heavyduty leafspring rear suspension. One more thing More recalls I believe you probably dont even own a truck so you obviously dont know what the hell your talking about. Ive owned Fords,Dodges and chevys and currently a 07 Tundra with the 5.7 and im telling you for a 1/2 ton truck not a 3/4 ton are a diesel because obviously Toyota doesnt make one but people sure like to compare their one ton diesel are 3/4 ton big block to the tundra well no shit its not going to out tow your diesel, but if your talking 1/2 ton trucks with v8 gas engines its the best 1/2 ton truck ive owned.

The Tundra clearly outclasses the Ram in driving dynamics, performance, NVH levels, and has far superior resale value.

There are 2010 Rams on the local dealer lot with $12K incentives on the hood.

Ouch.
