Toyota Motor Corp., the seemingly unstoppable juggernaut that saw its U.S. sales double in the last decade, has come back down to earth.

I hope our own auto makes are taking notice and not just paying lip service to the obvious strategy that they have to pursue.

Question remains...what in heavens name possessed them to put Hummers and other gigantic vehicles (Expeditions) on the road in the first place? They must have thought that we all had oil wells in our back yards... Selfish and shortsighted to say the least.
