mold inside doors of toyota matrix

After a torrential (high wind) rainstorm I noticed a severe mold odor in my 2004 matrix when the windows are down ... water had forced its way inside the doors - not inside the car but inside the doors themselves (all 4) and inside the doors became moldy. The dealership (2 that I called) said they'd never heard of such a problem and they really didn't know how to remediate & kill the mold inside the doors (paid a good deal of money for no result).. the drains were not plugged but there was standing water inside the doors ... anybody else run into this problem? I get allergic to my car now. Thanks

I have the szme problem except there was no torrential rain storm, just rain. I didn't know until recently it was in the doors, I thought it was water leaking from ac into car, dealership said it may have been air filter. I leaned my head against the door while waiting in my car one day and realized it was in the doors which had never been left down in the rain. I notice the same in my father's tundra. Very disapointed with toyota. Good Luck, I have asked a friend who was a dealer and he had no solutions.
