This is just expensive PR from Toyota. The problem of throttle run aways predates the use of CTS Corp throttles and the problem occurs on Lexus and Japanese built Toyota models. The real culprit probably hides in the vehicle's complex software coding, but finding a fault in the code will take them months. They may never find the actual line of code causing the problem. All this does is make people think Toyota cured the problem so they can get their cars back on the road and on the sales floor.
BM, Toyota is a non-union shop, and the problem is present in Japanese built Toyotas and Lexus. So much for that theory. LOL.

Okay, I guess I'm wrong on the Toyota union. I know that labor unions are common in the Japanese automobile industry, but not nearly as influential as they are in the USA. In Japan, management still has the upper hand.

I believe what you say about the throttle problem with Toyotas and Lexus. I had a Lexus and it had some severe problems, including throttle run, especially right after I turned on the ignition. It was in the shop often getting warranty work done. I don't care about free lattes and danish -- I just want my car to run.

Built with an american part same thing happened to Mercedes just a few years ago then they got away from american parts and back to normal. Do not know why american workers just do not care anymore about what they build ? But Honda built in Japan.
