having logged 98,768 miles on my 2005 xterra "s" model all over mexico. i would say that this suv is simply tough.... i cant believe how well it has held up driving all over this country and in serious terrain. thank you nissan for an amazing truck.

I'm glad you like it. I wish I could get one and take it out there and drive around. The 2009 SE comes standard with leather now. The 2009 Offroad comes with roof mounted spot lights. Let me know if you are interested in buying a new one.

Hi!
Could you tell me if the Xterra has a minimum front-to-rear power split when 4x4 is engaged? Does it act at all like a central diff-lock (which would imply 50/50)? If not, and if there is no minimum, then doesn't that defeat the point of the optional rear diff lock one can get with the 'off-road' pack? Cheers, Bruno (bruno.veninga@woodsbagot.ae) |
