On the contrary....
You and I are both right--some automakers have actually seen sales centlyincreases---recently.(Ac tion word is "recently")
But compared to a few years ago they've all lost ground.
What I failed to clarify in my statement (my bad) was the fact that sales of all automakers have dropped significantly since 2007/08.
Some are recovering somewhat--even the despised (at least in these forums) Toyota.
Some are still falling behind.
Back to my original argument though--I rebut the statement made earlier.
It's not correct to say only "Toyota is worse off" now than before---they all are---compared to those great sales years.
Does that ease your mind a bit re my intent?

I have learned that you can't take some of these comments personally.
I wish the comments were based either on personal experience, cited reports or facts. We can vehemently disagree with someone without name calling or sarcasm.
That said, the increasing gas prices are going to favor automakers who have more high MPG vehicles, at least while prices are this high.
