I am also a person who carpools from York to Maryland every day. It's helps save a lot of money on gas with prices rising. The problem is that there is no park and ride between York and Shrewsbury so everyone has to go the whole way there to catch their ride. Somewhere else like Leaders Heights exit would be a perfect place to create one. We could save even more money and it would make the traffic less in the Shrewsbury area is already congested now and time consuming.

I also carpool to Maryland and meet at Shrewsbury. I end up parking at Giant because the park and ride is always filled. There are several other cars I see everyday parking at Giant because there is just no other place to meet. I agree there needs to be another park and ride on an exit closer to York. This would also help to alleviate the congestion and the already full lot at Shrewsbury.

Live in York, work in York, and drive myself everyday to work. Making enough to keep it up for awhile. Come back to work here. You might like it.

When decent paying jobs come and stay in York, give me a call.

I've been trying to get Rabbit Transit to extend it run to the northern part of York County for years to no avail. Evidently they don't consider Dillsburg, Wellsville and Rossville to be part of York County! The last time I called them, they recommended that I drive from Wellsville to Dillsburg and ride Cat transit to Harrisburg and then the Rabbit Express to York. Kind of defeats the whole purpose!

I agree that transit does work. I have always lived in PA. They have a nice rabbit transit park n ride in Emigsville and they take trips to Harrisburg. We also need one south of York that runs to Hunt Valley. It saves on gas, helps the enviroment, creates less traffic congestion on the roads and it also helps consumers have more money to put back in the economy elsewhere. MD has a park in ride at almost every exit. If we could just have one more around Leiders Heights or Glen Rock, that would help so many people
