It's about time that the City of Pasadena's City Manager's Office and Public Works Department get off their collective butts and re-examine the tree policy. There are too many trees that are in serious need of topping and thinning out, or in need of removal due to shallow root systems that cause major damage to sidewalks.

On San Pasqual between Mentor and Catalina, there are at least two oak trees that have branches extending over the sidewalks and into the street. The oak on the south side of San Pasqual is so heavy, that the entire tree is leaning into the street, the retaining walls is cracked, and the sidewalk uplifted. It is absolutely amazing that the branches did not snap or the trees topple during the recent windstorms.

While it is well know that the City has budget problems, it is also clear that City has dead-weight employees that are more interested in a paycheck for as little work possible!

I did, but for some reason it's posted in a Topix Toyota thread. Of course, there's no relation, just another Topix mystery.
Cheers
