THERE IS A LOT OF HATE HERE, i RIDE BOTH MACHINES, AND THEY ARE BOTH VERY FAST. THE DIFFERENCE IS THE RIDER, YOU CAN TAKE A NINJA 1000 OR GIXXER 1000 AND OUT RUN EITHER A ZX14 OR BUSA. THE RIDER MAKES THE DIFFERENCE, NO MATTER WHAT THE MANUFACTURER WRITES ABOUT THEIR MACHINE. IN REAL STREET LIFE THE RIDER MAKES THE DIFFERENCE, THATS HOW CLOSE THESE MACHINES ARE TO EACH OTHER. I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE,YOU CAN BE PRO SUZUKI OR PRO KAWASAKI THE TRUTH HURTS.

To "goodiv"... I think you are full of crap. I have raced stock 14's in canyons... they aren't that impressive. They are slow in and slow out. They really need the straights to get their point across. I have yet to see a 14 that can keep up with a 1K (anything make) in the twisties... oh, thats right... a twisty, in Montana, is like the 405 Fwy in California. Come-on out to Calif "goodiv"... we'll be happy to show you some real knee draggin roads!

Busa owners get so defensive about this....you had 8 years, your time is up. Even the new 08 still can't claim it beats the ZX14. All it can claim is that it's faster then the 07 Busa. ZX14 is the King of the Hill.

Come on dog, we all know that the SUZUKI HAYABUSA is without a doubt "THE MAN" and thats from 1999 through 2008. The Kawasaki ZX9,ZX12 and ZX14 is straight GARBAGE.
All good things come to an end, and the Busas crown has been takin...Better luck next time. Numbers don't lie, so keep telling yourself the Busa is "the man", I'll keep looking at the superior numbers of the ZX14

I have a 04 ZX12r. However, I am 6'7" 280lbs. I dont have many choices as to what beast to ride on other than the Busa, or Ninja 12/14R. Ive had three 12's (2)'01's and (1)'04. What can I say I like the color silver...lol! I have been told as to how crazy insane I drive for a big guy and have tried both bikes including the 14,(stock). I can say this...I like the sleek narrow race look and feel of the Ninja better. Though the 14 needed to grow a bit with its wide bubbly feel like the Busa has always had since the beginning. As far as power well this is where I found a difference. The Busa's that I have been on can get the edge off the start I have been on 4 Busa's and (3) 12's always the same Busa takes it off the start. However, Bikes this insane to me dont live in the 0-75 mph range, they live in the 100+ range. This is where the Ninja takes it's sword and cuts the busa up. After 8000rpm's forget it! The 12 and Dam the 14 really open up and outperform the Busa. Though I cant say anything about the '08. I dont really like the Bubble look so I will stay with my '04 12 that basically is a 1400 with the Bigbore kit anyways. Its all about preference here fellas. Half the guys in here only use 10% of what these bikes can do anyways. Redline in 6th and belive me , either bike seems like the fastest at that speed! Trust Me!
Anyway no dissin about either bike from me just a big guy with an opinion and story for you all..peace.

Talk all you want, I work where we have sold both Kawi and Zuk. I hate to break it to you Kawi guys, but Kawasaki shouldn't make motorcycles. Suzuki actually cares about its owners. The old Busa in 07' outsold the Zx14 2 to one. The New Busa is going to be that much better. Keep up the good work Suzuki!!

Again it is so weird how people bash the crap out of other people's opinions. "I'll race you", "I read this article about this bike being faster", "I read this article were this guy beat that guy." None of you and I mean none of you can beat a professional drag-racing motorcyclist on a 600 anything! Quit you r BSin and get real to the deal. They both screw! Both have a governed 186mph engine. Both of them can get to that speed with ease. How many people out there drive over 100mph on the daily let alone over +150mph? Ive seen pro's wipe there arses on both Busa's and 14's/12's in a 1/4 mile in NE Dragway. Its a laugh riot to see a little 600 or 750. Go right by a +190HP bike with an idiot on it that thinks his bike is the best! Go to a dragstrip race with the big boys see how you make out. As for what outsells what well then I guess a moped is better than a Busa since they sold more last year than Suzuki did. Wow you sure did make your point!

Listen up dude, slap a tre on a busa or zx14 and you'll blow through 186mph. As far as the dragstrip goes sure a professional will out run us, but us amatures will run a hell of alot faster on a busa than a 600 something. There is also a thing called pride of ownership in owning the "worlds fastest bike" and guess what it aint no 600.

Duncan, I read your reply to my comment. It seems as if there are contradictions being made in here then. You just said slap "tre" and it will go faster the 186mph? But, isn't everyone talking about stock bikes in here? Or are we going to talk about how much $ you can put into a bike that makes it "SO MUCH BETTER", than the next? As far as pride...for your own bike? I agree owners defend there bike and brand simply for the love of there bike. But with pride comes respect! I have seen no respect from anyone other then "your bike sucs and mine is the best!" I respect yours and all others in here opinion as to y they prefer the bike of there choice and why. However to type things like ZX12's/14's will smoke a Busa or visa-versa is completely moronic and inexperienced with what thesee two bikes are both capable of! As far as the "World's Fastest" bike you don't own it Im sure! Do you own any World Speeding Records? So how can you have the fastest bike? Careful what you type in here there are actual people that read what you type. You dont own the fastest bike I dont either. Now who is the craziest rider here? Well thats a completely different subject. Im sure any rider in here could teach and learn somethign from any other person in here. So get your ars to MASS. We can jet around and have fun. Peace out...the big guy.

I ride the "worlds fastest production bike" I also own a stage 3 velocity turbo busa with 586hp. Stick to your 600s and i'll stick to my 1300s and 1400s. You wanna race?{in a straight line...i'll give you the curves}

Duncan,
It's funny that you don't completely read my comments. I to have a ZX12r. Not a 600. I cant fit on them. My buddy drags his 600 and 750 against guys that do up there bikes and smokes them on the track. He of course cant keep up in a mile race but 1/4 mile all day would smoke you, me and mostly anybody else that doesn't drag for a profession. I never knew you could get that much HP from a stage 3 turbo . Hmm you must have a magical engine. I have a Big Bore Stroker in mine a 1375. With all my nods I have about 235 RWHP and that is street legal! Send me a pic of your bike I'd love to see your 586HP bike dont think I have ever seen one other than the strips. [email protected] I'll send ya mine and the dyno papers as well. Talk is cheap in here lol! Have a great weekend!
The big guy!
Peace

Man you don't know alot about turbo bikes do you. I've got a friend with a similar set up and head work with over 600hp. I can send you my dyno to prove this number, or go to Velocityracing.com , and Barry, the builder of my bike will confirm everything. My engine is NOT stock. I have falcon rods, je pistons, balanced crank, lock up clutch, ape studs, and 587 hp at 34 pounds of boost. Also, mine is street legal and that is where I primarly ride it! I often take 4hr. trips. On my friends stock busa, I consistantly run 10.2's. On my turbo bike, I run mid 8's. NLR runs a turbo bike with over 700 hp to the rear wheel. It won the hp shoot out last year. Also, it is a daily driver! My turbo size is a GT35R. FYI I also drag race often....just for fun. Which bike is your professional friend faster on a 600 or a Busa? That is my point. I have dyno papers and time slips to back up what i've said. Whats funny were talking about extreme examples here, but stock is what this is about.
